I typically work from the same area as my home desktop from working from home so this was a "must buy" so that I could use my usual mouse and keyboard with the work laptop.Everything works as expected and the shell of this is great quality.

This little gadget allows sharing USB devices between two computers and I like using it to connect my laptop and desktop to the same peripherals. The setup process is seamless and can operate straight from the box. The switch comes with two handy USB 3.0 cables, making it easy to connect to both computers. It supports both USB-C and USB-A devices, which is a big plus since I use a mix of older and newer hardware. The data transfer speeds are reasonably high, utilising USB 3.0 capabilities. There’s no lag when switching between devices, which is crucial for my work efficiency. The controller adds convenience, allowing switching between computers effortlessly with a simple button press. The design is sleek and compact, making it easy to fit into my workspace without clutter. What I like the most about this switch is its versatility. It allows me to share not just my keyboard and mouse, but also the printer and USB storage. This flexibility is particularly useful when I need to alternate between my work and personal computers. On the downside, it is worth mentioning that you cannot wake up a PC with the attached keyboard. The build quality feels solid and durable. The materials used are high grade, and the overall design is well thought out, suggesting it will last for a good while without any connectivity issues. Generally, this switch has made my workspace much more efficient.

An excellent device for sharing a variety of peripherals between two different computers. It's very simple to set up and didn't require any additional drivers on either of the computers. I set it up so that I could switch between a MacBook and a PC running Windows 11, and everything was straightforward and worked well with just the press of a button. I could move everything from the PC to the Mac, and then with another press of a button, I could move it back to Windows. This has been a revelation, as I do have some software that will only run on Windows. Now it means that whenever I need to run this software, I can quickly swap over and don't have to worry about plugging in the monitor and keyboard to the other device. There are three USB ports and a USB-C port, so there is plenty of flexibility. Luckily, a lot of the equipment I use, such as the wired mouse and wired keyboard, both use USB, so the current setup is ideal for me. However, it may have been nice to have had two USB-C ports as going forward, USB-C is becoming increasingly popular. The data transfer speeds are up to 5 GB/s, which is reasonably fast. It's definitely not as lightning fast as is available with other USB technologies these days, but it is plenty fast enough for my needs. It was good that there are indicators to let you know which computer is currently activated, as it would have been easy to become confused, particularly when using a web browser, as it looks pretty much identical on both operating systems. The price isn't particularly expensive, and if, like me, you have been flipping from one computer to another repeatedly throughout the day, then it is well worth it, as it has made my office space much neater.

I still don't understand why in today's world these devices have USB A connectors as inputs. This means they have a non-standard cable connecting from your computer to the switch box. They really need to start putting USB C ports on there for the computer connections. This has lost it a star from my rating. The box itself is small and light, pretty much you can't make it smaller otherwise you risk connectors being too close. Like many of these switch boxes it has a button on top and simple remote button you can place somewhere convenient. I really like the use of colour to know which input is active. They've picked Blue and Green which is fine for me, but if you happen to be colour blind to those colours it could be a major issue! This is perfect for sharing a couple of devices between two computers, but be aware there is no display switching. But it is probably ideal if you happen to work from a couple of laptops and use a full sized keyboard, mouse, webcam, headset etc, they can all be switched quickly at the press of a button.
