I was at the end of my rope and stuck because I was missing the power adapter to an older camcorder. This did the trick cause I could just dial it in! Worked perfectly!

I’ve returned mine. It may be okay for your needs but it wasn’t for me; too big for what I needed it for and particularly the connector tips were super wobbly and wouldn’t stay attached to the device it was supposed to power. Went for a brand name product with less wattage and accessories. From the look and feel alone you can already tell the difference.

Got a 12 inch car sub and amp hooked to it in my house!

Maybe my expectations were too high for this supply. I expected a fairly accurate bench type power supply. If you are not concerned with accuracy, I guess this supply is OK. However, if accuracy is important, the actual voltage to the plug is 6-8% lower than what is displayed on the unit at the full 3 amp limit. At 24 volts, the output is over 1 volt low.It is possible the inaccuracy is due to loss in the wire lead, but if so, the wire should be heavier! The main power leads seem heavy enough - there is no noticeable warming. This comes with some useful accessory leads - a splitter, a clip lead adapter, a large variety of alternate sized plugs. Some of the accessory leads are quite thin though, and get noticeably warm when attempting to test at 3 amps.In summary, The supply seems solidly built. The voltage control knob and meter accuracy are pretty good. I didn't feel any measurable warming on the supply unit itself of the main power lead out. This supply is OK if you are not real concerned with accuracy. Up to 2 amps load, the output is only down 3-5% which is not too bad. Since accuracy is important to me, I will only use this supply up to about 2 amps due to the larger voltage dropoff at 3 amps..

I tested 1 and 2 amps at both 5 and 20v with good results. The ripple often is above 100mV, which is not great for a power supply, in general. If it were fifty bucks, I'd ding it a star. At this price, it's reasonable. I did not attempt to stress test 24V 3A, and would recommend, with these budget items, to not run them past half their wattage rating for extended periods. The cord set is an impressive assortment, and could be worth it, alone, if it has a piece that you need. A 5.5x2.1 to USB-A female is the only piece I would add. There are USB-C and micro males, and C-female to A-female adapters are easy to get (and surprisingly useful).

I ordered this Universal Power Supply 3V~24V 3A 72W Adjustable Variable 3V 5V 9V 12V 18V 20V 24V to use specifically for an old shortwave radio that has rotted out battery terminals.I have an old radio that uses a 9v power supply with a negative center terminal. Like most folks, I have tons of power adapters laying around from long lost items, but none had the right combination of voltage and tip size. This adapter comes with a giant assortment of tips as well as a polarity reverser that can be used if you need a center negative connector or left off if you need a positive center connector. The output voltage is controlled by a dial. The dial also as a switch (much like an old fashioned volume control). Once switched on, the output voltage is set a 3 volts. Turning the knob causes the voltage to increase to the maximum 24 volts. I did notice that the control is very touchy, requiring very little movement to cause a significant change in voltage. The radio that I purchased this for works perfectly well with this power supply.I will probably use this power supply for other devices. One nice feature is that in addition to all of the different tips provided, there is also a connection consisting of alligator clips. That makes this a good candidate for powering DIY electronics during the testing phase. Keep in mind that the maximum current rating for this device is 3A.

Works great, tested it against my multimeter before use, the display is .05 off…otherwise works as intended

I am impressed with the versatility of this power supply. You can dial in any voltage from 3 to 24 VDC, and you get a large number of tips plus extras. I haven’t seen those extras included with many power supplies. They consist of a 4-way splitter cable, a polarity converter and a breakout cable with alligator clips. I checked the output voltage at several voltages with a cheap voltmeter, and it matched the readout on the display within 0.1 Volts. This universal power supply is going to be a great addition to my electrical tool kit. The only small negative I can identify with this is that it’s difficult to dial in an exact voltage down to the last one hundredth volt. If you want exactly 12.00 Volts, you might have to be happy with 11.98 or 12.01 because the little knob just isn’t precise enough to dial it in more exactly. But realistically, other power supplies where you click in specific voltages (3, 4.5, 6, 9, etc.) probably aren’t any more precise at their preset voltage settings. And also, realistically, if you’re doing precision work you will probably be using a professional bench power supply rather than one like this.Based on the super-versatility of this, I think it deserves a five-star rating.
