I made a gift of the soft kayak racks to a girlfriend who is a full-time kayaking nut. They fit perfectly on her small SUV and it was easy to tie down the bow and stern. These soft racks are high quality - made with premium materials. And they look good conforming to the shape of her car. I am not the only one that appreciates the aesthetics... I know this because as she was pulling away from the launch, a guy yelled out, "Nice rack!"

Our car has 4 sunroof/moonroof on top and zero places to put a traditional roof rack - this padded removable roof rack was exactly what we needed to get our racing toboggans to Camden. It was super easy to install, and stayed put, and was easy to put away after the final runs until next year. I wish there were a few more of the hooked anchors, as they really added a sense of security, considering these aren't really especially weighted or aerodynamic when they don't have riders on top!

I got these for my husbands car. He likes to take the kayak down to the lake when the sun starts coming out. They allow him to keep the roof of his car scratch free. Fit perfectly because they allow you to adjust the straps. Easy to install yourself. Great foam and soft build that allows the kayak to fit easily for adding and removing from the roof. Easy to transport and safer than the old way he was strapping it on. It also comes with a bag to store it when not using it.

I was interested in these because of the padding and also the quick loop straps. I have seen padding tyat can be wrapped or inserted onto roof rails but never seen this self-contained cushion style. I have roof rails which I can attach as well as a metal roof basket and a soft rooftop cargo bag. This gives yet another option for carrying things on the roof and is the quickest to put on and take down. The rooftop bag has more points tyat need to be secured and also takes more time to fold up enough to fit in the carrying bag. These also came in a carrying bag, but it's cheaply made and the seam was already coming apart when I opened the box. So unless you have repair skills, consider the carrying bag disposable.As for the actual product, I think it's clever because it can be used on a variety of vehicles. Even though I have roof rails, I don't like to leave them on all the time and they are also hard metal, so this is nice for when cushioning is helpful. I like the quick loops that can provide extra attachment points to the hood or trunk/hatch area. However, only 2 are included, and 4 would be the most versatile and helpful.

I just installed these roof rack pads on top of my car as they come with straps to make them very secure.I can haul my kayak,my surfboards and my body boards on it while going to the beach with my whole family to enjoy the water sports.This kit comes complete with hooks to be attached to it and is very easy to take off when not needed.The pads are shock resistant,durable and wide enough to to handle the length of my stuff.They are also soft as not to scratch the top of my car and the straps inside are nor invasive as their purpose is to tighten them up according to the adjustment made on them.They are made of high end good quality material,are very practical to use.

Good padding and glad that it packs up so small. Will keep this in my trunk and then when it's time to kayak (or carry large items for that matter) I've got a padded system for doing so. Installs easy enough once you get the hang of the straps and how to get them to hold.
