Not safe for heavy hip thrusts, so I returned it. Neat idea, but doesn’t work.

I’ve only tried this out for 2 sessions. Both sessions I felt awkward getting set up on it and off it. Once up and ready it’s a much better workout than just going off a bench.

I've been doing hip thrusts for over a decade, though back in the day we called them glute raises to differentiate from the classic "glute bridges" or what used to be called "glue ham raises/GHRs", I guess. I didn't come up with that name, it's just what we all called them back then. Hip thrist sounds way cooler, and who doesn't love old wine in new bottles? In any case, I have used everything from gym flat benches to gymnastic blocks to the "official" hip thrust bench. This is the first time I've used a foam block that attaches to your olympic bar as a back rest. NGL, I really like the fulcrum that it creates, but you obviously need access to more than one oly bar if you plan to weight your hip thrusts with an oly bar. I find I also have to use the pad lower on my back than I would when using a regular bench, but that's possibly just me.That said, none of the other exercises listed on the blurb for this make any sense at all - using this for split squats or planks would be pointless. This is a hard block of foam that affixes tightly to your oly bar and is very much a one trick pony. It's a good trick, though. $50 is pretty steep for what this is, but since I've had this one I haven't been using my other benches, so I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't replace this one if it breaks. I'd honestly be interested in a more premium 3x3 rack attachment that rotates like this if one was made.Pro-tip - this isn't intended to be a protective "hip pad," it's intended to rest your upper back on while doing the hip thrusts. I've seen a number of reviews where the reviewer is doing it wrongfully wrong, so I'm guessing it's a common misconception.

I can’t tell you how happy I am with this. I struggled with form on hip thrust and couldn’t lift heavy at all because of it. This supports my back perfectly, and actually makes the full movement so much easier. As a result, I have tripled what I’m lifting. And better yet I can Put all of my focus on my lower Body instead of my upper body. The payoff has been huge. As a bonus, it also allows me to turn my machine Into a leg press. I mean, that’s Worth it in itself.

This is a really useful product for a home gym to make barbell hip thrusts easier than the usual position of placing your upper back/shoulders on a weight bench. Because this rotates as you lower and raise, it allows for a fuller range of motion. The foam material it's made of is VERY dense and firm, which provides stability.I unfortunately didn't get a rack for my home gym setup that has hook attachment holes low enough to place the barbell where I'd like when using this, but I'm still able to make do with it. (If anyone knows of any longer J-hook attachments that would allow you to use a higher peg hole for a J-hook that's positioned lower than normal from that peg, would love to hear about it! Longest I've found so far is 6 inches from peg to hook.)Only feedback I would have on this is that the edges of the pad can feel a little hard as I press against it in a way that sometimes isn't comfortable. Could be a user issue (either in terms of form or in terms of sensitivity) but the foam really is hard and dense, so I'd love it to have slightly rounded edges for comfort where it presses against my back. Other than that, though, this is great.

I'll be honest. After requesting this through Vine, I regretted it. The $50 estimated value is a high and I really didn't expect a lot from the product. After receiving it and giving it a bit of testing, I admit it is better than expected. I still think $50 for a dense piece of foam with a groove is to much. In my opinion it should be closer to $20, but the product itself is nice.It feels good against the back and the way it rotates as you thrust your hips feels very fluid. The big drawback for me is that the lowest setting on my squat rack is several inches too high for me. I'm 5'7". With a different squat rack or taller person, that may not be a problem. It's not an impossible problem to solve. I can put the bar on the ground with some large plates on it, but against the rack or I can sit on a plate like the image shows.I will have to experiment and see which I prefer. Another drawback is that you really need 2 bars. You could use body weight, dumbbells, a curl bar, kettlebell, or a plate but ideally you need a 2nd barbell and that drastically increases the cost of this setup.Overall it is a nice piece of foam and a cool idea, but I don't know how economical it is vs other options such as simply investing in a high quality bench with vertical adjustments.

Excellent product. The only slight downside is that it might be a little hard for some folks tissue, upper back muscle. It would be nice if the also sold Oly bar tie downs as mine rocks on the hooks I have. I need smaller hooks or supports.

works well but could use a connection on the back so every movement you don't have to set it back in place. For the money a little disapointing

I love this!!This saved me a lot of money because I was going to buy a hip thrust machine for my home gym, but thought I’d give this a try first. It works extremely well and is comfortable to use…you could actually bring this to any gym, it’s light weight and fits a standard barbell.I’m extremely happy about this purchase and would definitely recommend to anyone.5 star!!

I use this now for myself and my clients and the glute isolation using this is perfect.

Fits a standard bar no problem, mine is 28.5 mm. Good dense and strong material. My only gripe is that it is a bit slippery on my back. Just a cautionary note is all. If you are thrusting alot of weight it could get a bit sketchy. It might roughen up in time or I could put something on it. It's simple and functional.

This pad works amazing. Definitely feels and works better than doing hip thrusts on a bench. I have used this many times and my local gym even got one after seeing it.
