Main features:
1. The lens collar is tailor-made and only Compatible with Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens (EF and F Mount), Not Compatible with Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS (E-mount and L-Mount) and other lenses.
2. The tripod mount ring's inner diameter is about 84mm, width is about 23mm, with 3M film inside, preventing lens from scratches; net weight is about 160g.
3. The tripod collar bottom is added 70mm long Arca fit quick release plate feature, can be used with 39mm Arca-swiss fit tripod ball head, panoramic head and clamp directly; more practical than lens collar without QR-Plate.
4. The Lens support bottom reserved 1/4" and 3/8" screw holes and stainless-steel anti-slip screw for fixing lens to tripod directly.
5. This lens holder bottom is AS standard quick release plate, compatible with RRS / ARCA-SWISS / ISHOOT tripod head of Arca 39mm fit, suitable for iShoot IS-JZ50 / IS-JZ64 / IS-QJ58 / IS-QJ64-FD / IS-JZ60BK / IS-JZ70MFT / IS-JZ80BK clamp.

This thing fits my lens perfectly.Although it might seems silly to spend another $50 for a tripod collar this make the lens even more useful. It will be what locks down my lens for shooting the eclipse coming up. (Don't forget you likely need to turn off IS while on a tripod, or at least look for it).The cutout perfectly aligns with the lens's window and button bumps while still holding tightly.Aren't many ways to really improve upon it. The longer arca plate allows a little balancing adjustment.The price really is decent so you can have this 100-400 on a tripod and stable

iShoot Tripod Mount Ring for use w/ the Sigma 100-400mm telephoto lens for Canon EF mount is an incredible execution of working around the lack of design accommodation in this lens for adding a tripod mount ring. The collar fits perfectly around the lens controls & focus view window and provides a solid, sure grip on the lens. I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone trying to solve Sigma's lack of attention to this need for a long lens. I can only hope the rest of iShoot's products are as good as this one. Good job, iShoot!

This is a precision fit for the Sigma 100-400 lens. I own 2 of these. Never a chance of loosening up. Stays firm. Certainly beats the cost of the oem Sigma adapter at one fourth the cost.

The build quality feels okay, but there is not a definitive stop when tightening it to the lens. So I can’t tell if I’m tightening it as much as I should be. It also gets in the way when you try to manually focus, so don’t buy if you need MF.

Fit the Sigma 100-400mm zoom perfect. Gives a nice place to mount it on the gimbal and makes it easier when hand holding. Wish that the lens would swivel but over all a tight fit is better and since this is made by iShoot as an add on it works great.

For some unknown reason, the Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 Canon mount lens does not come with a tripod collar. I searched for some time before being directed to this product by my camera store who consulted with their Sigma rep. Build quality and lens fit are 5 stars. A major drawback (and hence the lower rating) is that the lens cannot rotate in the ring, but I can change from landscape to portrait orientation with the L-bracket...not as convenient as rotating the lens, but not much of an inconvenience. The tripod ring does not interfere with either the L-bracket or the EF/RF lens adapter.

Fixes a major flaw with the lens. Sigma should have designed the 100-400 C with a tripod collar. Instead, we have to work around the lens design. With this, we can achieve stability, but not rotation.4 stars because the price is too high for this. It's well-made and works well but it's not like these guys are RRS or Kirk.
