3rd year mechanical engineering student here, been using it for notes and problems sets in my classes makes me feel like a “real engineer”. The paper is durable I know this because I always find myself erasing mistakes I make. Will plan on getting more when I run out.

Cheap, dependable, doesn't bleed, tear easy, straight lines. Would highly suggest.

The glue isn't great and the backing and some pages come off too easily

The paper is slightly thicker than the Amazon basics version, which is nice from a quality perspective, but the grid is noticeably less visible as a result. The TOPS logo in the margin is also distracting and unnecessary

I ordered a 3-pack of the 100-sheet TOPS paper at the same time as 2 100-sheet pads of the Amazon Basics engineering paper. The TOPS came out "on top" (pun intended). Quality control seems better with the TOPS, and the paper is a bit thicker as seen in the photo. Of course that could be a plus or a minus depending on desire. Both types are certainly usable, but the Basics one had one pad that had insufficient glue and the 100-sheet pad had separated into a couple parts in the mailing (it was not boxed). The TOPS was shipped the same way and seemed to survive. The TOPS glue looks fine. The other difference is that the TOPS has lines that are slightly harder to see through the page - perhaps because of the thicker paper used. But it is OK in my opinion, and that could be a plus or a minus relative to the slightly cheaper Basics brand, depending on personal taste.
