This toe splint provides firm support while remaining comfortable for extended wear. It helped keep the toe in place without feeling too restrictive. The material is soft yet sturdy, making it suitable for both day and night use. A good option for those who want some bracing for toes.

I have a fairly pronounced bunion and should have had surgery but have been unable to do it for various reasons. Because of that, I've tried several correctors and I'm pleased with this one. It is not going to cure my bunion but it is a very nice design and more comfortable than my last one. It's very easy to put on and quite adjustable with Velcro at three different points. For someone like me, who is just trying to keep a bunion from worsening, braces like this worn around the house are the way to go. They are too bulky to put inside a shoe but I probably wouldn't want to do that anyway, since this isn't something you should be wearing for hours on end when you start. I do find that this one works best if I am sedentary, so I am trying to remember to use it while I watch TV for an hour or two in the evenings. (One should always start slowly with these, although I've used something similar so I can go longer without pain.) I do find that if I walk around with it, eventually it will twist around a little bit and I need to readjust it when I sit back down. For a unit at such a low price, I don't consider that a huge issue but I wish there was a way to keep it from twisting on my foot when I walk to the kitchen and back. The quality on this pair is good. I only have one bunion on one foot so I would like the ability to buy only one of these but the price is still reasonable.

Adds superior support and overall great quality. It helped with my pain, so that's a plus. Not too bulky by the way.

Multiple points of sizing adjustment, so the item (2 in a package) should fit most feet. If you jamb a toe, this would be a way to hold it straight while it heals. Ambidextrous - use on either foot.

I've tried a few of these devices to try to correct a big toe that has been deformed by a joint replacement and multiple follow-up surgeries. The nice thing about this particular make is that both a left and a right brace come in the same package, so if you have problems with both feet, you don't need to buy two separate braces. This design is by the easiest to slip on of the different braces I've tried, with a dual velcro-belt design for the mid-foot that makes it easy to slip on and tighten. Relative ease of getting it onto my foot means I'm willing to deal with it, day after day, and will see benefit in a shorter period of time. The dual belt also means that it's simple to get a tight, anchored fit around the midfoot by using one of the belts as a winch while locking the velcro down on the the other belt. The toe velcro strap is also long enough to easily slip around the big toe; however, there is no easy way to winch this strap tighter to create additional tension on the toe. I have to yank the toe into position with one hand and strap it into place with the other. The main drawback I've found with this brace is that it's not quite long enough to fit around the toe without the strap cutting into the skin between my big toe and second toe. If the spacing between the midfoot strap and the toe strap were just a half-inch longer, it would make all the difference for me. I tried shifting the midfoot of the brace up towards the toes and then tightening, but the toe is still putting some pressure on the skin between the first two toes. If I try to walk in the brace and not just sit still, it will start gouging into that skin even more painfully. This is a one-size design, so if you have long feet, you might run into the same problem.

I was a bit hesitant to use this as my foot doctor only recommended toe separators which worked for a while with my bunion until it didn't. I noticed my bunion would be red and throbbing after working out for just 2-3 hours, even with the toe separator in place. This splint does what splints do, keeps your target, in this cast my big toe from pointing inward (which forces my bunion to stick out and rub against my shoe). However this cannot be worn inside your shoe as it's quite thick. So I wore it in the evening and into the night. The next day I put on my tennis shoes, without the toe separator and worked out for 3 hours. And NO PAIN! I was thrilled and repeated it again. So far so good. But keep in mind, it's not that comfortable wearing at night under the covers. I think at the end of the day when I'm sitting at my desk and working on my computer for a few hours is the perfect time to wear this. Also to get around, I purchased a very wide slipper with an adjustable velcro top and that helps me to get around the house while wearing this. This splint is a life safer product or at the very least, will help me delay foot surgery for now. Please note while I can't imagine this being a product that you need doctor approval, I did, and was told to give it a try. For me, it is working very well.

Ordered this before the doctor put me into a boot for a broken toe and metatarsal. It was super hard on my toe and caused me more pain than I was already experiencing. If this is used for bunions, it will likely be a different story.
