I didn't think this little bracket can make such an impact, i had somewhat heating issues with my i7-14700k where under heavy load during Cinebench R23, temps would be ~90° topping off at ~95° at most. Had a friend recommend me getting this to help cool it better and I didn't believe it would.WOW!! Under heavy load during the stress test. Temps would reach ~85°! 10° cooler! THIS IS A MUST for all LGA1700 CPUs! Don't wait! Don't hesitate! You NEED this!

Watched many youtube comparison videos between this and thermal grizzly. The performance was usually identical but this one is almost no stress to install and ¹/³ the price.New 14700k build so I didn't do any testing without the frame but I won't be worrying about bending and my current temps using it are very nice, 25c idle and 40-50 in heavy gaming.

This product is the best ever. It's super easy to install and works great! I installed it on an MSI motherboard with an Intel core i9-14900KF. The highest temps I've seen before the installation were over 100 degrees Celsius under full load. Now, they are never higher than 85 C. I don't think this is because of the included thermal paste though. It isn't great quality but it's been working fine for me so far. I highly recommend this product!

This contact from was a breeze to install and works! Lowered my temps 4-7c compared to the stock retention system.A bonus is this frame is much much easier to install than the thermal grizzly one because it actually rests right on the mother board. It’s also a fraction of the price.

I used this to fit an i9 14900K CPU on an ASUS motherboard with a 4090 GPU. I used an AIO water cooler with 360mm radiator in the CPU and the whole lot keeps really cool even playing the most intensive of games. The system rarely breaches 70deg. It helps in the cooling process no end, it’s easy to fix and fits snugly around the CPU. Thoroughly recommended and good value for money.

After reading and spending more time on research, I realized that there's been reports that using Intel's stock ILM may cause CPU to be bent or caused deformation over time which lead thermal paste to be spread widely, and thus the cooler has trouble making direct contact to the IHS. As a result, it caused CPU temp to spike up like crazy over time, thus making the CPU itself run so hot, no matter which cooler you've installed. Thankfully, I was fortunate that I have finally purchased Bending Correct Frame aka Contact Frame which was very easy & simple to install onto my ASUS Apex Encore Z790 Motherboard and fits no problem with Intel Core i9-14900KS. Yes, you must keep your CPU onto the socket to prevent damaging the pins, but also vital to keep your original ILM screws to be installed as well as the backplate which needs to sit behind the motherboard. It's important to remember to never overtighten the screws to prevent not only damaging the pins but also the PCB. Once it's done, you simply apply thermal paste, install the cooler like NH-D15 G2, and you're good to go! As a result, CPU temp went down significantly for about 5-10 Celsisus on average, depending on the app you run with. I've experienced zero crash, no artifacts, nothing! It was very easy and simple to install the contact frame, compared to 1mm Shim Washer which is very difficult to install onto the Z790 Motherboard since the ILM screws itself was too short, otherwise buy contact frame. It's cheaper and inexpensive.All in all, I highly recommend buying contact frame to not only prevent CPU bent deformation but also you give you much better direct contact between IHS and heatsink in order to disperse as much heat as possible!

Absolute perfect fitting on this thing and does its job as described. There's also a GamersNexus video demonstrating how big of a difference it makes (and it's big).They included an entire tube of thermal paste and the hex tool to remove your CPU retention plate.It also has a side benefit of making cleaning your CPU when swapping much easier. I was using this for a benchmarking rig where I'm replacing a 12700k and 14900k a few times between test runs and there's no more thermal paste leaking onto the sides of the CPU socket or onto the motherboard.I liked it so much that I got the AM5 versions for my other rigs.. even though it doesn't need them for cooling like the LGA1700 socket, the cleanliness and not having to deal with the retention bracket arm is worth the cost.

Works well. Purpose is to keep the CPU from bending in the middle, thus causing a hot spot there later in life of the CPU.

Pros: Very simple installation process. Just place your CPU onto motherboard like usual, unscrew the default CPU latch assembly from your motherboard's backplate, place the contact frame over the CPU flush with the mobo, reuse the screws and done! Obviously this is much easier if you're starting a fresh build but considering I was swapping my AIO from thermal paste (also greatly appreciated to be included!) to ptm7950, why not lower thermals further with this frame!Cons: Not so much a con of the product as it is a tradeoff with any non default Intel CPU latch assembly. Supposedly by using another CPU frame, you potentially void Intel's 5yr warranty on your CPU. I bought mine pre-owned, so I don't have the info to use the warranty anyways, but for other folks that detail may matter much more.Outside of the above, totally worth the purchase considering my rig has been working great and combined with the ptm7950, my CPU Maxes out at 85C, averages btwn 50-60C, and idles just above 30C.
