1. Question: How can I get started as soon as possible when using this stepper driver for the first time?

Answer: After the power supply and the motor are correctly connected,only the pulse signal PUL is connected (first set the frequency to within 1K),the subdivision is set to 16, the direction and offline are suspended, and the motor defaults to forward after power on.

After the operation is correct, test the acceleration (increasing frequency),direction, subdivision and offline functions in turn.

2. Question: Is it necessary to add series resistance if the control signal is higher than 5V .

Answer: The upgraded TB6600 does not need to add series resistance.

3. Question: The power indicator light is on after wiring, but the motor does not rotate. What is the reason?

Answer: If the wiring is correct, but still does not turn, it means that the drive capacity of the control part is not enough.

This situation mostly occurs in the direct control mode of the io port of the single-chip microcomputer.Please ensure that the control interface has a 5mA drive capability.

4. Question: How to judge the definition of the four lines of a stepper motor?

Answer: Connect any two wires of the motor together. At this time,

there is resistance when twisting the motor rotor by hand.Then the two lines are the same phase and can be connected to the driver A+, A-;

There is still resistance when the other two lines are short-circuited, so connect these two lines to B+ and B-.

5.Question: The forward and reverse rotation of the motor is opposite to what should be actually achieved?

Ordered a couple of these for a small build. I’ve tried each of the drivers with multiple Nema 17’s, still won’t change direction no matter the code written for it.Only way it changes direction, is to physically swap AA with BB the etc…

Once I worked past all the rookie mistakes, this worked great! I tried it at a number of different supply voltages. Worked pretty easily with a Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller (+3.3v control signals). Tried a number of microstepping settings and everything worked exactly as expected. Don't know what else to say other than at the very low price point this will be a staple of any stepper projects I do!

I ordered the 3 pack of these drivers. But when the order arrived there was only a single driver in the pack. I checked the sales page and it said that it was unavailable and unknown when it would be back in stock.Since the sales page was indicating that no more were available and I needed the 3 drivers right away I figured that the only option was to return for credit and order from another seller.So that was what I did and I got the 3 drivers from the other seller and they work fine, with one caveat that I will mention later.A day or so later I was contacted though Amazon by the seller who apologized and offered to send 3 drivers even though I had returned the first one. All correspondence with the seller was done via Amazon system.I received the 3 drivers from this seller today, and just finished an initial bench test. All three of the new drivers are working well, but this was an initial test with stand alone steppers, not in the CNC machine. But the steppers move smoothly with no hiccups.I'll be doing more extensive testing on one of my CNC machines as soon as I have the time, but I expect that these drivers will work well.I have not pulled these apart to check yet, but the other 3 drivers I received needed some heat sink compound between the heat sink and the case. I suspect that is typical for this class of driver, but for the price it is an easy thing to take care of. In fact I've run into that issue with other Chinese products before, so it is something I check for where it might be a problem.If I find any issues with more extensive testing of these drivers I'll update this review with details.So while there was the initial issue with the original shipment being short two drivers the customer service was outstanding, and very responsive.So I would not hesitate to order from this seller when I need some more drivers in the future.
