I have been shaving in the shower for decadesI have a very thick beard and standing in the shower steam really helps to soften my beardThere's always the challenge of keeping the mirror fog freeHowever, with the warm water compartment behind the mirror, that pretty much solves the problemSuper easy to install and useI like the look of it tooLove that it rotates

I recently ordered another shower mirror for my shower and I use it daily to shave. It really does save time to do that in the shower. I then ordered this mirror for our other shower. But we won't be using it for a couple of reasons:1. The mirror is not fog-free, unlike the one I do use. This one requires filling a small reservoir at the top of the mirror with warm water. That is inconvenient.2. When the shelf is attached to the mirror the entire assembly becomes quite heavy for the suction cup to hold it to the shower wall. Thus I was not surprised when it came crashing down soon after I put it up.If you decide to order this mirror and end up wanting to return it, I advise not assembling the two parts of the shelf: the shelf and the part that connects it to the mirror. After connecting them I found it impossible to separate the two pieces and as a result I could not get the entire assembly back into the box. There are many better mirror options on Amazon. Look for one that is truly fogless and is lightweight so that it will stay put.

Seem to stay on the wall good. I like the shelf. It does fog up though, so constantly splashing water on it while trying to shave.

------------------------UPDATED REVIEW------------------------Everything was working fine with this shower mirror—anti-fog, sturdiness, adjustability—but something just seemed a little off with the reflection. I read in a couple of other reviews that there is a second film layer. So, after removing the one, I decided to see if I still had a film covering remaining. I scratched in the corner of the mirror, a little worried that I was going to damage the mirror. But, as I scratched, I was getting through a little bit. Then, still unsure of where this was going, I tried to grab the slight bit of scratches. What do you know?!? It really wasn't apparent. But, there was a second film layer that came right off. And, voila, a completely clear mirror.I also saw a review complaining about the adjustability and trouble filling the reservoir with water. As I think I explained in my original review, I find the mirror to be very adjustable. The mirror has a ball joint inserted into the mount. I would probably find a location for the mount and not try to move it to new locations, though they say you can. And I have no reason to doubt that you can. But the mirror swivels and turns. So, just spin the mirror so that the reservoir is at the top and fill it with hot/warm water. I use a larger cup to fill the reservoir. After you're finished using the mirror, just spin the mirror so that the reservoir is on the bottom to drain the water. I leave it in that position to allow it to drain and dry until I spin it 180 degrees to fill it with water again for another use. This is a great mirror. I'm very happy I selected it, and I think you'll be happy with it, too. If you are still unsure, double-check the return policy, especially to make sure the item is eligible for free returns. Then, take a look at the physical product to see if you think it makes sense.------------------------ORIGINAL REVIEW------------------------I wondered about this product, but now that I've received it, installed it, and tried it, I totally get it.1) Sturdiness: I have some other things in my shower that are held up with suction cups. Those are smaller/less sophisticated and don't always stay tight. I can easily slide them or pull them off. But this suction connector is way better than anything else I've ever used in a shower. Just be sure to push the device onto the wall until the cup releases and the center of the suction mechanism makes a noticeable move toward the wall, with the suction cup ending up in an "outward-expanding" state. I pulled and tugged to make sure before adding the mirror to the assembly. I feel very confident in this product's sturdiness.2) Anti-fog: Ohhh, Okay. I totally get it. Behind the glass is a reservoir you fill with warm water before showering. (Afterwards, just turn the mirror 180 degrees to dump out the water and let it dry.) I tried it. My main mirror over the sink fogged up as usual, but this in-shower mirror did not. It stayed totally clear. This is a solution I've been looking for, even for using my electric trimmer. I usually start trimming my beard in the shower. (Obviously not while the water is running.) Then, I finish using the mirror over the sink. I hate getting trimmings into a clean sink. I wipe them out. But I've always wanted to be able to finish trimming in the shower. Now, I can do that and also do the razor shaving (for my neck, etc) in the shower. It installs easily. You can probably install it even faster than I did. I went through the instructions pretty methodically to make sure. Even doing that was easy and pretty lickity split. As always, I will update this review if any durability or other issues arise—for example, if the suction mechanism fails. I don't anticipate this, but if so, I will update my rating.

I bough this mirror because I wanted the anti-fog feature of adding warm water to the back of the mirror, and I wanted a shelf for my shaving cream can. This had both plus a slot to hang a razor, as well as a really solid suction cup for hanging the unit. The mirror has a large surface area which is not perfectly flat and therefor produces a greatly distorted reflection. This may not bother some, but I find it annoying, especially since I paid about twice as much as my last shaving mirror. The other elements are excellent, as I noted, which is why I gave it 3 stars.
