The probes work fine (TBD how long they'll last). I was able to easily calibrate them. However the plastic calibration tool included with the probes is completely useless. Neither side of it fits into the calibration hole. After trying once, the tool looks like it was chewed on by a hamster. The little colored plastic label rings that fit onto the probes are very flimsy. The first one I tried to put on broke in half immediately. That said, none of these things are necessary for the probes to work. Get a tiny flathead screwdriver for calibration, and you're good to go.

The probes are identical to probes i purchased from another source years ago. I wonder if there's only one manufacturer in China producing these low cost probes. I'm using them with a 20MHz scope, so I don't know if they are really flat to 100MHz as advertised, but they are dead on 10X attenuation. My only real complaint is the compensation adjustment is very hard to turn and the plastic tool supplied with the probes just stripped out. I was able to use a small metallic screwdriver to adjust the probes. The metal tool does not affect the setting. Not the sturdiest probes around, but I can replace them every year or two for the rest of my life and not spend as much money as I would for a single US manufactured quality probe from Textronix or HP. Great value.

These oscilloscope probes are well made and include 1X and 10X options. Additionally, a great feature of the product is the ability to remove the J hook clip and use as a pinpoint probe. Nice little addition to my signal tracer, but would work exceptionally well with any oscilloscope.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing with an oscilloscope. I bought myself a $20 kit (dso138) to practice soldering and to learn a bit about oscilloscopes. The leads that came with it were alligator clips and I decided that wasn't going to cut the mustard. It's a $20 scope, I'm not going to spend a fortune on leads but I'm very glad I bought this set. They are much better than clipping the alligator clip on to something, they are sturdy and the do the job just fine (and I only need one of the leads because it's a single channel). They feel sturdy, the leads are lengthy and there are lots of options for connection.

This is a great kit for the money! With so many tip options including alligator clips on each probe among other tip options, I can not see any bad side to it. I am however an amateur with regard to electronics but these probes seem to work very well and offer many testing options for most situations. I've changed out these tips with the ones which came with my Oscilloscope and can see no difference in performance. Again, from a relative noobs perspective these seem to be just fine. The kit comes with a clear (see through) soft vinyl carry case which keeps it all together including a VERY basic operator instruction manual. The fine "grabbing" or claw tips pull off the probe like a pen cap to reveal a fine point for precision probing. Both probes have an attached 3inch wire with an alligator clip on the end for clamping or grounding etc. Thes emay be removed if preferred. The cords are quite long but not so long to become unmanageable. The cords seem sturdy and well protected. Overall a very nice kit, especially for the money, at least for a beginner like myself.
