I absolutely love the Step 2 Harmony Toy Box! I previously owned the older model for six years, so I was excited to try this newer version, even though the assembly was quite different. The original was a simpler three-piece design, but the Harmony has a more intricate build with a combination of wood and heavy plastic. At first, I was a bit cranky about the extra effort involved in putting it together, but once it was finished, I was thrilled with the result.It’s truly a beautiful piece of furniture – the soft, muted blush pink is such a lovely touch. It blends effortlessly into the room and adds a calming aesthetic. The two built-in shelves are perfect for storing books and smaller toys, and the lid doubles as a chalkboard, which my toddler loves to draw on. Plus, the additional clip to hang artwork is such a nice touch!Although the wood edge initially made me nervous (I was worried my toddler might bump into it), I quickly solved that by adding a crib rail pad, and now I don’t have to worry. This toy box is both stylish and practical, with ample space for toys and art supplies (it holds 4.2 cubic feet!). It’s also incredibly sturdy, made with durable materials that feel built to last. Overall, this toy box makes clean-up fun and easy, while inspiring creativity and organization. Highly recommend!

I love how easy it was was to assemble and 2 year old loved helping put the screws in . I do wish the shelves were labeled by letter tho , it took me a few minutes to figure out the pieces, but once I did it took me 30 minutes to put to gather . The toy chest is very sturdy and really spacious , I have 3 girls so the blush pink was a bonus ! I also love that the wood was on the inside and the exterior was plastic so if they bumped into it they wouldn’t get hurt

These are more aesthetically pleasing than the old versions of these but not as functional. If I had realized the cover for the toy box part didn't actually attach I wouldn't have bought it. The old ones had a version where the cover slid up and one that had doors that slid from side to side. And they were thicker, blow molded plastic pieces. The chalkboard cover on this is thin and flimsy. There's no way it's going to stand the test of time, and I envision it becoming another thing to get stepped on as it falls to the side since there's no way for it to stay open and attached to the toy box and no way to stay attached when closed. Big disappointment. Find an old one on Facebook, it's better.
