This constantly stalls out of vehicle, or causes a hard start.Installed in 2022, and here we are 3 years later with the same issue. I reached out and was told the picture is how youre supposed to get in the truck after starting it. WHAT?! who would actually do this??I have one on my toyota, and when I open my door it turns off. This one in the truck, if we use the auto start, open the door and get in it lets us drive away no issue. Which seems like AN ISSUE. If it does turn off before we get outside, when we turn the truck back on, it often is a very hard start, or will stall upon starting.We are removing this from our vehicle.

I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to save money on a remote starter and install yourself. They have easy to understand directions along with videos. Their tech support is also AWESOME!!!

Does not install easily as indicated. The instruction are only useful and accurate for the final programming steps. The 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn wiring is tight. Finding the ignition bypass / splice requires serious planning and multiple additional steps. As an engineer by trade, I would suggest removing the entire headlight housing and the entire circuit connection from the control panel to eliminate any chance of damaging the brown ignition wire during the splice. I would never advise doing this project as a novice. Stay safe and have it installed professionally if you are not comfortable using tight wiring techniques.

Ram 2022 Push-to-start :Looked at the video for this before I bought this and figured the hardest part would be to splice the ignition wire. I was right… by far the hardest part. Second hardest was to find that wire! Next was the limited space to work in. Had to fold myself into a pretzel it felt like. Here are the steps in short and level of dificulty:1: remove front panel - easy2: find place to connect plug 1 of harness - easy3: connect plug one of harness - not so easy due to limited space. Found out there is easier access if you take of the panel where the light-switch is. Its right behind it.4. Connect harness to on/off switch - really easy5. Find correct wire to splice ignition cable to - fairly easy but took a minute due to the number of wires and limited space.6. Splice the wire to connect ignition cable to - not too easy only due to limited space.7. Connect remote starter module to harness - really easy8. Program remote starter module in car - really easy just involves opening and closing door and hitting the start/stop button twice9. Unplugged remote starter (black plug last) - really easy10. Install weblink on computer - really easy, follow instructions on video11. Plug in programmer dongle (included) in usb on computer and connect it to the remote starter module -really easy, follow instructions on video12. Launch weblink program and follow instructions on the video to update the remote starter module - really easy, just follow video.13. Disconnect remote starter module from dongle and reconnect it in the car - super easy14. Finalize programming of remote starter module- really easy. Just press stop/start button a coupla times15. Use tie-wraps to tidy everything up and replace panel(s) - easy.Like i mentioned, hardest part was finding and splicing the ignition wire.Read the instructions on the pamphlet that comes with it and do ever In that order. Watch the video thats provided. Good luck.

I bought this for my 5th gen RAM 1500, and installation is pretty straightforward, but you have to follow every step to the letter and in order. It is a bit of a challenge to first find and then tap into the ignition wire under the dash, but that is a RAM design issue, not the kit manufacturers fault. Everything else is plug & play. Programming is easy, just follow the log in instructions, then follow the prompts. During programming there is also a menu that allows you to customize a number of parameters, such as run time. I left mine at the 15 minute default. The kit works seamlessly with the factory key fob, by pushing lock 3X and my truck fires right up! Distance is only limited by the range of the fob. It will be so good to get into a warm truck in winter, or a cool truck in summer!

Web stated that the product is good for 2023 ram 1500- actual products is good for ram 09 to 12. Not compatible. Very disappointing

I highly recommend this. I've put this same unit in a 19 RAM and 2 24 RAMS. The 3rd only took 15 minutes start to finish. Awesome product. Well worth the money.

This was my second Start-X remote starter, installed one on my wife's Jeep last year and it's been working great so got one for my Ram so I could melt the windshield ice before still being late for work. Difference with this one is that wonderful splice of the ignition wire..... Initially looking at the videos I thought it was going to be relatively easy and of course I was wrong. There is almost no room to work at that side under the dash and trying to get a small portion of a tiny wire stripped was pain staking without damaging it. Eventually got it spliced (hope it never gets loose), programmed and working. Also, the wiring diagram in the video for a Ram varies apparently, the ignition wire 27 was not top left but is bottom right, but it was the only brown wire with a black line so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Start-X is great, this Ram install was not lol. Don't hesitate to buy, flashing process is also pretty straight forward. 2020 Ram Rebel.
