I have 3/4 gas line going to this and the heat it puts off is amazing. I would recommend filling the bottom of the pan with lava rock to fill most of it and then layer the top with fire glass and dont be cheap on the fire glass. it evenly distributes the heat with the glass on top. also this can handle the BTUs for sure no doubt.

It works well with propane. The igniter location can be closer to the nozzle. My igniter never worked .

The components are steel and well machined. Gas manifolds that don't have to operate at high temperatures are quite expensive, so I can understand some of the high price.Assuming you already have blocks, metal, or poured concrete to build your table, and you just bought this, you still have a few other expensive components to add.Other reviewers complained that this will fill with water and won't work. I couldn't test with propane, but i did connect the manifold to a fairly strong air pump I have. With water in the manifold, the air pump was able to quickly make a lot of the water sputter out, and the air then flowed freely; there was still some water in the system but that surely would have evaporated while using it. I suspect the system would have lit if the water column wasn't so big that it creates a blockage. Also, what's pictured (a wide metal basin holding rocks or charcoal) isn't what you'll get. To achieve that look, you'll need a large metal basin in which you'd install this burner assembly.I'm a bit disappointed by the value for money and overall aesthetic.

Very well made, would have given 5 stars but the mount for the igniter is not in the right spot, it’s to far away to start the flame

I'm going to rate the install as a 4 of 5 since the install is likely going to be a DIY project and buyers will have to have a few skill sets to make this work. Aside from that the quality and features are great. For my project I will be pouring a small concrete mini table with a small 2" border around the insert making it fairly portable and used with a propane tank. Not much to say about it really and the listing itself provides the pertinent information for thread sizing. Really happy with this and will make a nice portable tabletop fire pit for the back deck, neighbors places or while camping during a fire burn restrictions since its enclosed. Can't wait to get a few hours to finish the project and enjoy it.

Nice quality and can be used for propane and natural gas. It doesn’t come with the spark ignition kit or shutoff valve which should be considered for DIY construction of a backyard fire pit.
