I saw a YouTuber use these as a guide and sort of a mini clamp when making multiple cuts with a circular saw. Genius idea and these work perfectly for that purpose. I know that isn’t the intended purpose, but I’m a big fan since these have helped me achieve better results with my saws.

You use them.I never did think about using a set of these until I had them and actually used them in a project. And now I can't imagine NOT having them.I like how quality they are. Very well made and with a decent amount of heft. They feel great in hand. The keychain and the magnets that holds them is very nicely done too. I've not had an issue with them coming off or randomly falling off in use. They seem quite well stuck. They really do make some trickier cuts easier and more possible. The price is meh, kind of high but I'll tell you what, for a quality set that I will probably never have to replace(unless I lose them), it's not bad.Overall, great quality and something I never really thought about using until I used these and now I can't imagine NOT having a set.

This Stair Gauge set by ARTYMASTER for wood working is of great quality. The finish and weight of these is very nice. Usability is straight forward and easy but it takesa bit of time to set up vs using a more traditional speed square.I find these to be handy and a great guide especially if you're doing a lot of cutting on a assembly production level where uniformity is crucial but for a cut or two I find these to be impractical.Overall I find the build quality and design to be very nice. These would make a nice gift but are best suited for someone new to wood working or to use as sort of a jig for "production" cutting.

The ARTYMASTER Stair Gauges Set is very high quality and is one tool that has multiple uses. The gauges come packed in a metal case with a foam insert, which holds the two included gauges, the carribeaner with two magnetic pins and a small User Manual. When not in use, you can slip the gauges onto the pins and attach the clip to your belt or tool bag, etc. The slip ring that holds the pins could be a little bigger to allow the gauges to hang straight but that is easily corrected. The pins have a strong magnetic grip, so I don't expect the gauges will fall off unexpectedly. As a stair gauge, you can use both gauges to lay out the cuts for the stringers, but the other use, and the one I will use more, is to use one gauge on a speed square to mark and angle and then be able to repeat that angle consistently. That is a big time saver when doing woodworking projects.Overall, the ARTYMASTER Stair Gauges Set is well made and appear to be high quality. The metal storage case is a nice addition and will keep the gauges and the pins in good condition for a long time.

Initial thoughts:These are actually pretty heavy and seem to be very well madeThe good:The case they see in is nice and sturdy. The clamps themselves are heavy and clamp on very tightly. They can open up a good amount (roughly 1/4 inch ti 1/2 inch) to work with rulers and such of different thicknesses. The bad:No complaints it works well.Final say:These are neat, I will use these with my carpentry and my wife can use it measuring angles and such for her miniatures.

I'm not a professional carpenter, but my wife reminds me that if you are not handsome, you need to be handy. These gauges help me to be handy.I really like the versatility of these things. I don't make a lot of stair stringers, but the ones I made with these nuts turned out great and they were easy to use. I was concerned about how well they would grip the square, but these things are rock solid.I also like that they come in a durable case so when I am not using them they are both kept together and one doesn't wander off into the depths of the tool bag.I am very happy with these and I would buy them again.

I was a little hesitant purchasing these; if a gauge doesn't have a firm grip on your square, your stairs are going to be off as the gauges move. However, these have a rock solid grip; there is a non-slip coating on the inside of the gauge, and once in place they don't move (I tried banging them around). The knobs make it very easy to lock them in place.I was skeptical about the magnetic key chain, but the magnet is pretty strong. If they're clipped to your belt the gauges aren't going to fall of while walking around, but they could still be knocked off while working. The only recommendation I would make would be to make these out of a high-visibility color (i.e. bright red or silver) in case they do get knocked off. I'm going to put some reflective tape on them in case they do fall off my key chain.
