Good product, but doesn't come with the hardware. Pricing is not completely accurate.

Okay. No, it's not going to stop a professional with tools and time to work, but it will deter common lowlife burglars, most of whom will just see it and move on and try elsewhere. It looks real, and it's actually well made. Not wrought iron of course at this price. But substantial steel channels. It's intended to work with the mounting brackets, but in my case, I had a large dog given to jumping against a glass pane door, threatening to break the glass. So, I just drilled the ends of the horizontals and used screws. With bolts, it would even likely stop all but the most determined and noisy yeggs. This will certainly do the job. I think it would also be possible for a normal man to kick away in an emergency escape. So it will certainly stop kids.

You need to read closely that hardware is sold separately. Also, make sure to measure your window. We could not utilize the hardware due to size needed to cover the window and had to figure out a different way to mount it.

This is no where near heavy duty in my opinion. You can bend the decorative metal with two fingers. Worse part is that you need to get separate parts to mount it on the wall. I guess you get what you pay for value wise.

We're satisfied with our new Weworth window security bars. We decided to go to the security bars on the back window. Not too long ago, the screen had been messed with by someone. So we felt this would be the most likely place that a burglar might try to breach our home. This is a strong and heavy set of bars. It's well-finished and coated with that powder coating that is so popular on outside metals. We already have the black powder-finished exterior handrails, light fixtures, and security door near the window security bars so it makes the look meld together. The installation was straightforward. We did a flush outside mount and used one-way screws going into the wood trim around the window. A few years ago we installed bars for a relative on stucco instead of wood and that was a big chore but with our wood house, it didn't take more than 20 minutes. The security bars didn't come with the mounting pieces so we had to run down to the local DIY store and grab the mounting brackets. It looks good and gives us peace of mind.
