The product I received is made from a relatively thick, hard clear plastic and is surprisingly rugged for what it is designed to do (i.e. simply hold a dozen eggs). These days, it seems many products are what I call "under built” using thinner or sub-optimized materials to reduce production costs. This unit is what I would call "over built” as it is very solid and robust - so much so that I was impressed by that. The lid is made from the same thick hard plastic and fits well and is easily put on and taken off. The things I like most are how well both units fit in the compartment in my LG fridge.I also like that there are two containers that came with the product: I use one for a newly purchased carton of eggs and there are always a few remaining eggs which go into the second container until they are used up. The last thing I like is how easily I can pick out the eggs. Some cartons from the grocery store pack the eggs so closely, that I am unable to grasp the sides of the eggs (just the tapered tip which makes the egg slip). This produce is designed with enough room between the eggs so you can get your fingers around the mid section of the eggs (not the slippery tip). In this manner, the dog won’t be getting many more of my breakfast eggs. Seriously, I highly recommend this product to anyone needing a solidly built container to hold their eggs. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought these so I had a place to store my washed and unwashed eggs. I like that the top is smooth so I could put labels on them easily (and not worry about them staying on). I also like that the lid just sits on top. It makes it easy to open when I have a hand full of butt nuggets. It has 12 actual egg spots but I can still fit some smaller eggs on top of them because the container is deep enough. I also like that it's easily washable and looks simple, yet clean on the counter. Will be ordering more!

I like that it has 12 instead of 14 eggs because I have a counter-depth fridge so these fit very nicely. I like that everything is looking great in my fridge, it's more of a food display than a fridge, so much nicer to look at than those ugly egg containers, and at least now we can see how many eggs are left. I also like that the cover closes without any gap so the eggs won't be affected by possible strong odors in the fridge. The holes are large enough for extra-large eggs.

This is a good quality plastic piece that will preserve eggs well. The lids “sit” atop the case as opposed to snapping in place which is the only thing I’d recommend to improve.

I like these egg cases because they fit in the fridge (height-wise) better that the original egg cartons. The little locking mechanisms did break off relatively soon after purchasing, but I thought they were unnecessary, anyway.

We bought and returned a 14-egg carton (13.5"L), because it was too wide for our egg shelf, measuring 12.75". Found this 12-egg carton and description stated that it measured 12.2". I was egg-cited to put this to use, but found it that wouldn't fit because the handle/lip on one side got in the way! The carton and handle actually measured 12-7/8" in length. I thought about cutting off the handle, to save us the trouble of returning a second time, but will instead return it and keep looking for a carton that fits.Such a shame, because the carton itself looks pretty sturdy. However, it is a bit too deep for my liking, but that wouldn't have kept it from doing its job.

This product has no ventilation holes which then causes severe condensation, resulting in the eggs constantly being wet, allowing bacteria to cover the eggs, and allowing mould to grow on your egg shells.This is very dangerous. This needs to be redesigned.
