This is absolutely perfect if you want to deter criminals. It looks very real especially where we placed it. Make sure you put it in a visible area but not close enough to where someone can really examine it thoroughly otherwise they might realize it’s not real but it looks so real and I’m very happy with this this is the most affordable way to deter crime

Looks solid and a good high tech look for a fake camera.

I purchased this because I’ve had some activity in the alley behind my home and I wanted to deter this, so I got this camera, added the batteries and installed it to my post overlooking the alley. It worked! My STUPID neighbors called the cops because they thought that I was looking into their yard via my dummy camera. BTW it’s not illegal to put cameras up on my property protecting the perimeter. Cops even agreed. Best money spent and if it ticks off my neighbors, and acts like a deterrent for unwanted activity On my side of the alley, BONUS!

This thing looks legit. Has a blinking light you can see at night. I suspect the sun will destroy it in a season but for the price that’s ok.

The product looks great but the battery compartment is to small and breaks very easily when you try to push the batteries in.I have two of these units, I did not install the first unit until I received the second. If you buy these units you will need to file away a good portion of the battery case to make them fit.I managed to file one unit, but the second units battery case broke, very easily.I gave one star for appearance of unit.Seller should allow returns, on this item to keep from getting a bad reputation.

It looks ok, not good. Just ok. I thought it was solar powered (with a charging cell or something). But, no... It requires 2 AA batteries. I'll but them up and see how long they work, I'm not impressed.

Not bad for the price. It looks pretty realistic, especially if you mount it up high where it is not too easy to tell it's a fake. Buying 2 rechargeable batteries is about another 50% more to spend to get it to work as intended, but still it's pretty cheap for the effect. We have installed 30 of these on commercial buildings and they have lasted several months now.First thing I did is use a sealant to cover all the seams on the top because otherwise I think water would get into the battery compartment (there are no gaskets or seals on them out of the box although the solar cell is glued in place which seems to function as a good seal). Also, on several of the units the battery compartments are slightly too small to fit the batteries and you really have to wedge them in there. Luckily you can tell from the light if the batteries are in correctly and making good contact, because on several of them when I put the batteries in they do not make good contact with the compartment ends and I have to manipulate them around to get the correct position.Out of 30 I have only one so far that the solar cell doesn't seem to power the led at all-very simple wiring but so haven't investigated further to figure out why it wasn't working.Overall pretty good for the price and seems to be a good deterrent. The blinking light is nice and bright at night and very noticeable (a good thing).
