Good heavy duty ladder with simple instructions . Its a little heavy but thats to be expected for a super duty ladder. Works good on stairs.

This is a good ladder, seems structurally sufficient, functionality is good, the outriggers do provide a good safe stability to it. I give it 4 not 5 stars for the reasons so many others have pointed out. The minimal assembly was not easy. The aluminum outriggers had to be filed and trimmed slightly to get the end plugs on and then still I had to use a substantial mallet from my shop to drive the end plugs on, the “cute” little one provided being wholly insufficient. And two of the rung end protectors were broke off right out of the box, the little plastic rivets having easily snapped in shipping. Easily reattached though with an ample amount of silicon. I’m satisfied that in no time they all will break off and need the same repair. But if reattached with a good amount of silicone they will hold thereafter. I’m having a Sunbrella* fabric bag produced to store mine in a compartment in the basement of my A-Class RV

I recommend this product. Solid and very stable. A bit heavy but that comes with the solid construction

The Soctone 4-step ladder has been a fantastic addition to my tools. It’s incredibly versatile, with its multi-position design allowing me to use it as both an A-frame and an extension ladder, which is perfect for various tasks around the house. The build quality feels solid, and I feel very secure when standing on it. However, it’s a bit on the heavier side, which makes moving it around more of a chore, especially for quick tasks. Despite that, the sturdiness and functionality more than make up for the extra weight. Highly recommend for those looking for a durable and flexible ladder solution!

I bought this ladder for my son-in-law after he admired mine. This one is even nicer. It is very light weight, but it is very sturdy. It adapts to many different heights and spaces, which makes it very practical for various situations. It is very easy to open and adjust the height either direction, and when collapsed it is very easy to store so it takes up far less space than a typical ladder. It includes a tray that can be used at the top rung of the ladder for storing the supplies for your project, a great feature that saves trips up and down the ladder. It is great for all kinds of household projects, from remodeling to changing lights, painting and much more.

The ladder arrived as scheduled even on a rainy day. It was much easier to disassemble and assemble than what some previous reviewers indicated. It looks sturdy and portable. It is a great option to use indoors and in outdo or spaces. Looking forward to using it for our trailer and roof repair.

Bought the Soctone 17 ft (extended) A-Frame 4-step, multi-position extension, which as others mention is actually around 14‘ 6” extended & about 7’ plus in the A-frame position. Since i was aware of this from reading the reviews it was what i expected, no worries. The 17’ measurement i would guess includes extra frame length that doesn’t count towards reach / height because there is overlap when configured in one of the multiple position options to hold everything properly in place. The included tray that holds tools, paint, etc. in A-frame position is a necessity in my opinion; I would’ve had to buy an add-on tool tray if I’d selected a different ladder that didn't come with one. Everything was carefully, & neatly packaged, & clean without scuff marks or abrasion. It was easy to assemble, logical, & a pair of extra nuts & bolts were included - jic any should be misplaced you can keep upbyour momentum without stopping & stressing over small hardware items. A cute little rubber head mallet came with it, so you can gently tap on the plastic foot caps & the stabilizers (which really do improve stability). It would've been helpful & convenient if one of those thin, lightweight type wrenches was also included so that i had the correct size at hand since my selection of tools is limited. I especially appreciated the mallet & when done using it to assemble the ladder it was added to my small tool collection. Those extra touches show care for their customers & pride in their products in my opinion. It was helpful that there were two of us putting it together. One person could probably handle it, still it’s nice to have a second pair of hands, someone to hold one side in place while the 2nd person adjusts the other side & that kind of thing. Two main uses were intended: (1) for easier attic access through the ceiling in a closet; (2) cleaning & maintenance (like gutters), & small DIY projects at home, particularly painting - exterior trim on a ranch level brick home & a bonus-room with tall cathedral ceilings (so at least as high up as it will let me reach). The purchase was a big expenditure for me even though very reasonably priced & during the time i was researching it happened to offer a limited time discount. i spent hours & then more hours reading reviews & comparing the many styles of homeowner grade ladders that look & are described so much alike but with some important differences in safety, functionality, & quality. Eventually i chose this Soctone with safety & sturdiness being the main deciding factor for a ladder that meant my basic needs. Now that i have used it on muddy ground, concrete, carpet, & wood laminate flooring for a couple of months or more, i am comfortable verifying that it is absolutely the sturdiest, safest feeling ladder of any kind that I’ve ever used. Anyone who has checked it out or used it at all has made unsolicited positive comments about it, as if pleasantly surprised. As a 64 year old granny i have used my share over the years, & the sturdiness is more important than ever! It is still a ladder with hazards naturally, which should be used with good common sense, attention, & caution. It is about 23 lbs i think? Maybe 27 lbs - don’t recall offhand. In my younger days I would’ve considered it light but with passing years it seems like a lb weighs more these days - haha - still, i can move it from here to there by myself well enough, even open but it’s easier when it’s cosed up. Be aware this is a folding extension ladder, not a telescopic ladder. Therefore, when folded up to put away it is deeper than the telescopic collapsing type so a bit more awkward that way if you are a small, short person.

I got this ladder a few weeks ago. I've vacillated between 4 and 5 stars and am going with 5 now that I have used it for a while. I am usually too lazy to write reviews for the myriad of things I buy on Amazon. I kind of fell in love with this ladder so decided it was apropos. The bad:I got the ladder when it was still very cold outside here in SW Oregon. One of the plastic end caps on the stabilizer leg cracked hammering it on. I think because it was too cold, and the plastic became brittle. Yes, You have to hammer the stabilizers into very tight plastic fittings. and then hammer the stabilizer feet onto those. A little rubber mallet is included, but I used a larger rubber mallet as the little one was too small. Some knit gloves were included too. I don't know why. The cracked foot has not been a problem. It is on securely. I'll fill in the crack with epoxy later.I am a little ill at ease as the outside main ladder rungs are TIg Welded on, but I only weigh 175 lbs fully dressed with work boots. The inner rungs are tradition tubular type with a flanged end. When the ladder is extended, you climb two TIG welded rungs and then you have the support of both as they overlap. In it's compact state they are all aligned together. I am wondering if the welds will crack over time. If I was a heavier guy, I would be more worried. So far so good with many trips up and down. The good:I am using this to finish the inside of a geodesic dome, where the top is 12 feet up. At my height of 5'-9" I can comfortably reach the top, and lean into the ladder for support, to paint and do other finishing work. It is extremely stable and I am primarily using it as a folding ladder. I haven't tried other configurations but I am sure they are fine.I have been up and down the ladder at least 300 times, there are 110 triangles 80 of which I need the ladder to reach. I have had to do finishing on the edges going up and down the ladder, so 80 x 3 edges is 240, plus multiple painting trips up and down that I haven't counted. It has been easy to move around and adjust the extension. The tool tray clips on and it's easy to move to either side. So in the dome I can go up either side of the ladder as I move it around the space. A regular folding ladder only allows for ascension on one side. My option was to buy an aluminum 8 foot folding ladder at the local hardware store for $179, or this one. I would have had to rotate a regular ladder far more often to do the work. So this ladder has made the work flow easier, and for that I am very happy with it.
