I was excited about the extra large tabs. The tabs are 31/8 inch long rather than 3 inches. the tag portion are 2 1/8 inches rather than 2 inches. I cannot make a suggestion that will allow the tags to stay in place. The manufacturer needs to seal the break between the 3" and 2" so the tags are more secure. making it a great product rather than a poor product.

These file tabs are very very nice. I found them easy to apply and insert into the tabs. They make a huge difference in being able to quickly identify the file you need. Don't let any negative reviews put you off. These are pretty darn good file tabs.

These things are awesome. I don’t know how I lived so long without them. For someone with OCD and a huge need for organization, these are perfect! They’re easy to use and put together - you just fold your tab then align your sticker label and place it on top. I love how the labels are color coded and allow for sub categories.

I alternated between 3 stars and 4 stars for these labels. The end result had me give it a 3 star, which is while this is a great idea, and they are nice labels, they are a bit of a pain to use. Once I printed them out, I thought, "well, that wasn't so bad!" And they looked nice until I tried to affix the label onto the plastic thing and then fold it and then place it inside my green file folders - they just don't look as good as I'd like and sometimes were a bit of a hassle slipping into the slots. It's probably just my fumble-fingered self and if someone crafty had these, they'd make them look amazing! I think they could look amazing, but not with me doing them.So. I'm on the fence about these labels. On the one hand, now I have labels that I can actually read instead of my messy handwriting making my files look, well, messy, and it's one thing to attach to my hanging file folders instead of those clear plastic things and a tiny piece of paper to slip in there. Yay! On the other hand, I shouldn't have tried doing this project on only one cup of coffee because even though when I opened the pack and inspected the contents for the purposes of writing my review, I still forgot the contents in the actual 'making of the labels' -- see photos! The packet comes with labels to print on and the plastic file indicator to adhere them to. But I forgot about the paper labels and attempted to print on the plastic - thinking, "this is not cool at all!" Results were - messy. That was my mistake (one cup of coffee and little sleep!). So be sure you don't make the mistake I did.Once you are ready, if you are going to print out the labels and not write upon them, you must log on to the Viewables website and create your labels. I tried to do it as a guest and received an error message, so I did have to create a login. Once I was in, again, I created my labels - just make sure when you create a label, that you click on the icon that says "next label" or else you'll just overwrite the label you just created. Yes, I did this, and yes one cup of coffee. Lawd. This is not really difficult, y'all, but somehow I made it a tad difficult by stumble-bumbling as I often do.When you have your labels created (you can see them to the right as you create them), then you follow the instructions to print them out. Again, don't be a dummy as I was and put the plastic sheet in the printer--you just waste a lot of ink and have a mess! Put the paper labels that are on the back of the viewables text sheet. There is a step where you look at this thing on the corner of the sheet and blah blah but I never figured out exactly what they meant so I ignored that. My labels fit just fine on the paper sheet, so that's good, because otherwise I'd have abandoned the project.Once I had all this done, the labels printed out fine. And I'm pleased with them. I'll slide the label into my hanging file folders and it's done. If you wanted to put the label on a regular file folder and a hanging as well you can do this, only if you don't have a lot of labels to create, because there aren't a whole bunch of them. I have enough for my needs, as this is my home filing "system" so I'm fine with the amount. And, I'm only putting them (for now) on the green hanging file folders. It seems a lot of steps to do, and it is, but once you have that done, and the labels are printed, then the end result is nice if you are not clumsy like me. I'm not a crafty-detaily kind of person so mine aren't as neat and even as someone else's may be. I like that you can use different colors but I ended up just doing the blue. I don't have the patience or time to create a "color file system" - I'd just forget what color was what or why I did it that way and eventually the colors would just meld in my mind. So, blue it is.This would be great for someone who wants to set up a color-coded file system and has the time and patience to go in and see what all they can do with their filing system--you can even add a picture if you wanted to. But I just want something simple and easy and fast.I like the idea of this and I am glad I now have some nice labels. And I don't have to worry about locating those clear plastic thingees that go on those old green file folders-YAY! So to that end I am very happy with this. But they didn't turn out as well as I'd like. There aren't very many, so you'll want to consider this when creating your file system--if you need only a few as I do, then this will work fine for you. The steps seem "fussy" but once I had another cup of coffee in me, I was fine and got it done easily and quickly.
