I was pleasantly surprised at the accuracy of this little scale. I use it to measure powder drops and to set up my powder measures for reloading.I check this scale against my Ohaus beam scale and they are the same. It’s easy to set the tare weight so you can use your scale pan as the included one is the size of a quarter and too small unless you are doing gold or silver or something.

I am very pleased with this scale. It came from the factory calibrated with a note to recheck calibration before using. I found it to be spot on using the accompanying weights to recheck the calibration. In use I found the tare function to work very well. I also found the scale to have good repeatability when momentarily removing a weight object and then placing on scale again. I’m very happy with the purchase.

I've had this little bugger for about 5 years now and it still is very accurate and nothing feels cheap about it. the hinges work fine. the cover is plastic but has not discolored. my only gripe is that its max measurement is 20 grams which i wish was a little higher.

This is a great little digital scale. I make jewelry, so I have to measure in both grams and carats frequently for precious metals and gemstones. This scale is perfect, as it weighs up to 50 carats (20g) with accuracy to plus/minus 0.001g. I've found it to be very accurate, though if using the separate tray that comes with it and the TARE function, I generally do several measurements to be sure. Do ensure that you place the tray on the center of the plate, or you can get inaccurate readings. Always make sure the scale is placed on a flat supportive surface, which also helps ensure accuracy.Calibration is very easy, and this should be done before the scale is used. If you have lost the manual, I have posted the process from the user manual in the questions section since a couple of the answers were not correct for the 20g model of this scale.I noticed that some reviewers have said the scale is flimsy and easily broken. I have not found that to be the case, but I don't keep the scale itself on my workbench. Instead, I keep the scale and the included components in the original case as it is lined with form fitting foam. I then store it and my larger scale on a separate shelf unit next to my bench that does not get jarred. If you keep it in the box, you'll also have less chance of losing the tiny components that come with it along with the second calibration weight and the handy user manual!I've used the scale for several months now, and my judgment is that it is a keeper. The manual also is in good English (rather than a bad translation from another language), another bonus! The instructions are in several other languages, including French and Spanish.

I have used this for tapering off medications, and have found it to work quite well. One small issue is that the scale would not increase its reading when adding I haven't experienced the issues other reviewers have mentioned (lid position, pressing the scale down to its max limit then measuring, etc.), instead I have calibrated the scale and measured the material with the setup unchanged (i.e.: lid in same position, level surface, etc.) and in so doing, have found it provides acceptably repeatable readings, with masses ranging from 50 - 250 mg.Overall, very good value for the price, I recommended this product.

This is a very nice scale for the price. As others have pointed out, once zeroed (when initially turned on, or when tared), the scale will ignore changes in weight below about 5 mg. It's a design choice - questionable, perhaps, but common at this price point. Measuring at a mg level is really touchy: a breeze from your HVAC, your breath, etc., will cause measurements to change. Most people would be annoyed by a shifting zero.As long as you're aware of this, it's not a problem. Start by adding at least 5 mg, then the scale will track tiny additions from there. Or if needing a very small amount, turn it on, add the tray without re-zeroing, add the amount you need to the number on the display, and that's your target. If the measurement is critical, you can check it by dumping the tray into another container, re-zeroing, and dumpimp the material back into the tray all at once.In practice, I wouldn't use this for amounts under 10-20 mg anyway, which I think is very reasonable at this price point. My calibration weights read 10.001 and 9.999, so I didn't re-calibrate.Other reviews noted problems with auto-off. For my unit, how to enable/disable auto-off is covered accurately in the surprisingly readable manual. The scale comes with two 10 g weights for calibration. Both are required since calibration involves checking zero, mid-range, and top-of-range. Oddly, there's a spot in the body of the scale for one of them, and a spot in the box for the other. I suppose the idea is that you can use one calibration weight any time to check mid-range.The box the scale comes in, while just cardboard and open cell foam, is pretty decent, with a nice magnetic closure. It provides for decent storage at least in a reasonably clean, dry environment.

For the Amazon range of milligram scales under $100 AUD, this is the best set I could find. The set arrived the day after ordering. A day earlier than expected. With notification upon arrival. Very pleased with the customer service!Ensure to calibrate before use, as per the instructions. For the price, these scales are perfect for weighing jewellery components, supplement powders, and tiny items. These are not high-precision laboratory-grade scales.Pros:+ Includes a set of tweezers, 2x 10.00g calibration weights and a weighing dish.+ Backlit display.+ Flip-open dome cover to reduce inaccuracy caused by air pressure.+ Supports multiple units: grams (g), ounces (oz), carats (ct), Troy ounces (ozt), pennyweights (dwt) and grains (gn).+ Light and mobile.+ Tare zeroing with weights on. Auto-tare when powered on.+ Auto-off option that can be enabled and disabled, as desired.Cons:- Accuracy within +/- 5mg.- Highly sensitive and needs to be on a flat surface for precision.- While a lid is included to prevent inaccuracy due to airflow, it is not usable as the scales cannot be calibrated with the 2x 10g calibration weights with the lid closed. They are too large. Hence calibration can only be with the lid open, reducing accuracy. This can be overcome by using a separate bowl placed over the scales as an air seal during weighing.Overall, for the affordable price, this is a great piece of equipment with a reasonable accuracy (+/- 5mg).If you’re shopping for precision milligram scales (+/- 0.5mg), search around instead for genuine laboratory-grade equipment. And be prepared to pay the premium price, typically $500 for a ‘cheap’ set.

Bilancina elettronica.
