Item is a card board box. It came damaged. I thought it would be more sturdy. Will not recommend. Returning ASAP.

I order this for my viola bow. It just about fits perfectly. however if I want to put my viola bow instead of a slim bow bag (silk or fabric) then place it inside of the case the cap wouldn't fit snuggly. This will work for a violin bow as well and probably a cello bow but you may want to place some fabric at the bottom to make up for the length differences. Otherwise your bow will be sliding around in the case. Basically it's a box with a velvety like liner. Not bad for the price, does the job of keep my bow safe.

This is a great case for carrying the bow in a backpack and taking back and forth to school.
