My daughter's violin came with a case that didn't have storage for her shoulder rest or her music book. Bought this case and it can store both, plus it is lighter than her original case. Overall makes it much easier to take her violin and accessories to school.

Decent quality for the price. I have had it over a year now without any issues. Definitely lightweight. Better than the super inexpensive models. This is a step up, but not as much protection as a wood style that looks similar. But they cost over twice this amount, and are heavier for a student. Attractive case inside and out even after a year.

Il est plus léger que ce à quoi je m attendais. Il est écrit d occasion mais je ne peux faire aucune différence avec du neuf.

The price point was totally off for the quality of case. If you have an actual violin please protect it with something better than this which is basically a thin cloth covered styrofoam. It was very poor quality materials and I would not put a violin in it. I returned it. I think $40 might be a more appropriate price point, but still would not put a violin in it.

I would have given 5 stars if it had a hygrometer that wasn't just for appearance, that actually could indicate real humidity levels. That was my only disappointment.

Seems to be a decent case, but it arrived locked with no key. Functionally, it's poor doorstop (It is light-weight, after all).I'll try picking the lock to get it open so I can put it under the tree for Christmas, as intended.I haven't reached out to the seller yet to get the key, so I'll update as needed.UPDATE: I was unable to immediately contact the seller, for which I don't hold them responsible. I called but only got an answering machine, probably because I think was too early (9 a.m.) so I sent a note via email (no response yet, but it's only been an hour, so that's not an issue at this point). So, I'm adding this update because, in the interim, I successfully picked the lock (using a large paperclip) and discovered the key inside. The key/lock still function, so I don't think I damaged anything in my efforts to unlock the case. Therefore, I'm upgrading to three stars from one.For the money, this appears to be a solid four- or even a five-star purchase. But I'm going with three because of the aggravation of having a case I couldn't open but for my own resourcefulness. I should not need lock-picking skills for a new purchase like this. Also, I don't know if I would/should award four or five stars to a product that hasn't been out in the wild yet. How long it holds up to the rigors of my 12-year-old daughter's use will determine its true level of quality. It does feel extremely light-weight, and thus fragile, so I'm skeptical about how this will hold up.I'll try to revisit this after a year for a final assessment.

This is one of the best cases you can get for your money. Light, plenty of room for your stuff and sturdy enough as a not high end case.

This is a great case for the price! Entire exterior has a zip open pouch for carrying music. Interior is great with room for rosin and 2 bows. Only slight issue is when case is open, it fall over on the lid, so when loading instrument back in, you have to hold case to stabilize. Not a huge issue but worth noting. Previous case we owned stayed upright when open.

After searching ebay and Amazon for a case that would fit my violin and accessories, I am super happy with this SKY case. The price is good for this sturdy, lightweight case. The full-size top pouch has plenty of room for my music books. You can see in the photos that my extra-tall chin rest fits fine. It's 3" from the bottom lip of the violin to the top of the chin rest. (Thanks to The Thinker for checking and answering that question for me.) Even my Bon Musica shoulder rest just barely fits in the end compartment. The third photo shows that the compartment flap won't quite close with the shoulder rest in there, but that doesn't affect the main lid from closing and latching. My Bon Musica is set for my average female frame, so it might not work for someone larger. I am so happy that everything fits well all in one case!

Nice looking case and well constructed. I like the large pocket for storing music sheets and books in. Great value for what you get. Would order again if I had another violin.

I had a similar case that I bought new on eBay 3 years ego for$18 which kind off fell apart - first the shoulder strap ring tore off, then the zipper pull fell off. This is a replacement and it seems like it’s quality is much better. I particularly like that it’s very lightweight and that the handle is split - it’s actually two handles one on each side of the zipper. Even if the zipper brakes and you fail to completely close the lock, the case can’t open while you are caring it or while the handles are held together by the attached Velcro strap. I hope it will last longer then two years.

I bought this to replace a case for my fiddle, after getting an infestation of bow mites. (I did vacuum the old case, but didn't feel confident that the little critters would be eradicated.) It's fine for now -- fits my 4/4 fiddle just fine, with space for 2 bows, spare strings, and rosin. I'm able to squeeze my Kun shoulder rest into the case but not in the space set up for shoulder rests. Some of the finishes, like the strap to hold the neck of the instrument, are pretty cheap. As another reviewer noted, the hygrometer seems to be mostly for show -- it also reads 60 on mine and has since the day I took it out of the box. The really nice part is that this thing is sooooo much lighter than my old case, I feel like I'm carrying nothing. I'm going to see how much playing I do, and figure out if I need a nicer case. In the meantime, this is quite serviceable for short money.
