Good value, arrived in time. Quality seems to be less than what it used to be. Works of course, and looks the same. The needles aren’t as strong as they once were. I have never had a hand needle to break into while sewing with it like this one did.

I bought these as a Christmas 🎄 gift for my Aunt's sewing kit. I already have some and they are Quality needles and I recommend them.

I have had one of these for well over 15 years, and the only reason I had to purchase again was the fact that I've lost most of the needles! The case is still in great shape! This was exactly as expected and I'm glad I was able to find it again. Good quality needles, no blocked eyes, and a handy case.

Singer is the name in sewing. Hand sewing needles are not as available in stores as they used to be. So I have stocked up on a few cases. Great needles. Thank you.

I don’t really sew that much anymore but I end up altering a lot of my clothes because I’m picky about fit and am between sizes. I had accumulated a bag of clothes that needed some tweaking, some vintage stuff and some items unworn with price tags still attached. With the COVID lockdowns and being home so much there was no more avoiding this task, at the same time that there was little motivation to alter clothes that I had no place to wear them to. So I ordered these needles and threw them into my metal Danish shortbread cookie tin and didn’t actually use them until over a year later when social restrictions started to lift and I was going out more and could actually wear the altered clothes.Does anyone know what all those really small needles are for ? I always buy these kits and only use like 2 normal sized needles out of the 30 or so they give you SMH. When I was a kid I would take those same small needles from my mother’s sewing kit and puncture the dry skin around my nails and chew it off. Those needles are good for that.I used to spend whole afternoons sipping tea and chatting with my grandmother while I watching her sew. Enormous pieces of fabric would be laid across the plastic sheet covering the kitchen table and she would draw these geometric shapes with a yellow wax chaulk stick with easy confidence , fearlessly cut pattern swaths out of whole pieces of cloth, efficiently thread the needle and expertly tie the thread knot with two figures, her long elegant fingers fluttering like bird’s wings as she wove the thread through the fabric. One afternoon I asked how she learned to sew and she told me her grandmother taught her. She explained that she lived with her grandmother because her own family was very poor and had three girls to support. She didn’t mind living with her grandmother she said even though she was strict because her father would beat them when he got drunk. Once she answered back to him and he told her to sit in a wooden chair , then he tied her arm to the chair with a piece of thread and left. He came home a few hours later drunk and beat her. She told me that her grandmother would rip off her bed linens if the bed wasn’t perfectly made , yelling at her, ‘is this a bed made by the hands of a woman?’ . Once my grandmother was doing some embroidery work and made some stitches that were too loose and irregular and her grandmother yelled at her , ‘is this work done by the hands of a woman?’. My grandmother told me you can always tell a real woman from how she holds her needle.

Needles are great. The container is super flimsy and feels like it’s about to come apart and dump needles in your lap when you turn the little wheel to line up the dispensing opening with the slot of the desired needle size.

If you tend to stick yourself trying to get needles out of a pack, this is for you. I haven’t poked myself yet. If you lose your needles too easily, get this. It has sections to keep all of your needles sorted. Turn the lid and everything stays put!

The lack of stars on sturdiness is the packaging, not the needles themselves. There are various sizes, the value is good, but mine came with the largest needle slanted into another needles spot. It made it impossible to turn to get the needle you want. I had to tear apart the handy little spinner to get one needle. So now I have a lot of individual needles with no storage case.
