The SHAVIV 151-29066 Classic SHAVIV Deburring Kit B includes one aluminum A handle, one B blade holder, and two B-series blades for long-reach deburring of hole edges and straight edges. The aluminum A handle is lightweight yet strong and durable, and accepts all SHAVIV holders for long-reach applications. The kit contains one B10 blade and one B20 blade. The B10 blade is made of high-speed steel for use on steel, aluminum, copper, and plastic. The B20 blade is made of high-speed steel for use on brass, cast iron, and plastic. It rotates clockwise as well as counterclockwise.

Deburring cutters are hand tools used to remove sharp edges and small unwanted bumps, also known as burrs, from material. The cutter typically consists of two pieces: a handle and a blade. The handle holds a blade that is typically made from high-speed steel, carbide, or ceramic, and may have a coating to extend its life or for work on tougher materials. The blades have different designs for deburring in a range of applications, such as straight edges, hole edges, through-holes, slots, and corners. A blade holder can be connected to a handle to hold the blade for long-reach work.

Vargus manufactures cutting, grooving and deburring tools under the Vardex, Groovex, and SHAVIV brand names. The company, founded in 1960 and headquartered in Nahariya, Israel, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001:2000.

If you're just periodically deburring hobby work pieces, you really don't need to invest in this level deburring tool. But if you use it for work, or if you just like having quality tools at hand, it doesn't get much better than Shaviv. The handle is solid and large enough to fill your hand so you get a good grip and reduce fatigue when using for long periods. The extended neck is a choice -- it is great (really required!) for getting into tight places, nooks, and interior curves where a regular tool doesn't reach - at least without overextending your grip (for those cheap pencil-style deburrers most start with). This neck is not the best for heavier work that doesn't require narrow access -- so choose accordingly. I love this tool for 3D print work and use it more than any other for that purpose. (Note: deburring is mostly in the blades so make sure you're using the proper angle and length for your work or any handle will feel like its not getting the job done.)

Works as expected: holds the blade securely and seems rugged. When it arrived, the box and the packaging had multiple perforations - likely made by the installed blade - and I did not find the second blade and thought it must have gotten lost during shipping. But today, after removing and reinstalling the blade holder, I found it within the handle - just as it should be - I suspect it had been trapped by the holder. So, if you only find one blade, remove the holder then look inside the handle. Also, the blade didn't rotate entirely freely until I wiped off a bit of debris and re-seated it in the holder.

Great deburring tool! Really like the aluminum handle with storage inside. Blades aren’t the best but they will get the job done.

This is amazing! Safe, effective and all in one well crafted package.I do 3D printing, and the cleanup of support structures on the prints was always a time-consuming and perilous task. Now, it is as easy as aim and slide. The blade is super sharp, but somehow safe to use. Not even a scratch. I have nearly lost fingers using box-cutters.Why these are not on the shelves in the local hardware store is beyond understanding. Great for metal, wood and plastics. I even used it to shave my boots. Best tool I have bought this year.

I've only used this for deburring plastic parts so far, but it works great. It should work as advertised on metal. It was shipped with a tip inserted into the holder and arrived shattered, I used a magnet to remove the piece stuck in the holder. The tips are so inexpensive I didn't bother with returning or filing a claim, just know it may happen to you and a neodymium magnet will pull the piece right out if you put it on the tip and pull back the release mechanism. The release mechanism had some schmoo in it so it would stick a little, after some use it freed right up and works well. If you're like me and hate flashing on plastic parts from manufacturers, get this tool. I will also use it to debur steel parts I machine or I get ahold of. Download the Shaviv deburring tool catalog and take a look at the blade index, they have so many tips for cleaning up parts in all kinds of orientations.

Shaviv tools are imported. Now that I have that out of the way, they are manufactured in Israel and are TOP quality.I have been looking for a QUALITY deburring tool for some time. I am extremely happy to have found these tools. The design is well thought out and allows for easy holding and manipulation by hand. I much prefer metal tools (over plastic..) so this metal handle is perfect for me. The ability to extend the tool holder and to change out the cutting tool makes it one of the best designed hand tools I have ever used. With high quality at every turn, you can't fault this tool. It is NOT cheap, but then nothing good comes cheaply in today's world. So five stars for a quality product that exceeds all of my demanding requirements.

excellent build quality apart from the plastic bottom piece on the handle which will probably last a long time. I just wish it was metal. The neck that holds the blade is telescoping up to about 6". It looks good quality and feels heavy in the hand which is a great sign but I wish the description included more information on the uses of the blade because the box indicates there are blades for all kinds of specific uses. This looks acceptable for use on pipe (which is what i will be using it for).
