1.Style:V3.0 For Ender3 S1/s1 Pro

  • 【SFU1204-390mm Ball Screw kit】2Pcs Ballscrew SFU1204-390mm with ball nut+Decoupling device+Special CNC machining screw seat+Special CNC machining motor support+Accessories for Ender3 S1/S1 pro dual Z-axis Upgrade. This kit is compatible with the ChowThink linear rail kit.
  • 【Higher Precision&Smooth Running】The trapezoidal screw belongs to sliding friction, but the ball screw is rolling friction, Through the movement of the ball, the heat is less and the precision is high,The efficiency is 2-4 times than the trapezoidal screw, which can make the Z-axis screw run more smoothly, which can make your printer capable of printing with higher precision.
  • 【HIGH-QUALITY Material&Accessories】Ball screw is precision machined from high strength steel, and equipped with special customized CNC machining screw seat/motor support/decoupling device,so that it has higher precision and stronger load capacity.
  • 【Parameter Specification】1.Processing Mode:cold rolling 2.Screw diameter: 12mm 3.Pitch: 4mm 4.Lead: 4mm 5.Screw material: S55C 6.Nut material: 20CrMoV 7.Accuracy class: C7(the stroke error within any 300mm length shall not exceed 0.05mm)
  • Notice: The stroke of SFU1204 is 4mm, which is different from the original T-screw,please change the pulse value from 400 to 800. If the lead screw is a little rough at first, please turn it several times, because new mechanical products need to be run in. If you have any installation questions, please feel free to contact us, we will reply you within 24 hours.

This product is used to upgrade the Z-axis screw of Ender3 S1/S1 pro 3D printer. Compared with the original T-screw, the ball screw can bring higher precision, printing speed, load, smoothness, service life, etc. Compared with T-screw, the ball screw has different friction mode, rolling friction has less resistance and more stable running track. In addition to the advantages in principle, Whether it is material or processing accuracy, ball screw requirements are much higher than T screw. Considering weight, size and accuracy, this kit is SFU1204 with 12mm thread diameter and 4mm stroke. If you have any installation questions, please feel free to contact us, we will reply you within 24 hours. At the same time, you are welcome to enlighten any defects or suggestions related to the product. Your opinions are our driving force for continuous improvement. Our belief is that we are willing to make 100 percent efforts for one percent progress.

Put these on my Ender 3 S1 Pro and the first two or three layers looks amazing, after that the head drags horribly and ends up “squishing” the print leaving a stippled look to the print causing dimensions on the print to fall out of tolerance. I’ve tried everything I know but nothing is working, spending 6-9hrs after work trying to troubleshoot.

I bought this and didn't put it on the printer for months, after the return limit. I went to install it and there is only one motor mount. Disappointed.

The installation was fairly straightforward. I only really had three issues. The first and biggest one is that the two new brackets that hold the lead screws were not 90 degrees relative to the x-axis gantry brackets. Both sides were a little bit off. So instead of the lead screw slipping directly into the coupler I had to force it slightly outward so that I could get it into the coupler. I was super worried about this since I don't want the lead screw to bend at all. But I couldn't find any way around this and after triple checking my installation I just forced both of the end screws into their respective couplers. The next issue I had was during assembly of the left bracket that holds the x-axis stepper motor to the x-axis gantry. There is not much room for error with the bracket and I accidentally impinged on the small plastic tab that protects the JST connector on the x-axis stepper motor. I didn't see that it was a little bit off and I ended up breaking off a corner of the plastic tab. Not a big deal but the cut-out in the bracket could and probably should be a little wider. Pay attention to how the motor sits inside of that cut out. The last issue is minor but the instruction manual repeatedly mentioned a z-synchronization belt and wheels. I didn't expect that to come with the kit and it was not included but it threw me off that it was in the installation manual. In retrospect I think that it should be included with the kit because without it the z-axis cannot effectively be moved manually. Not a big deal but there have been many times in the past that I have moved the z-axis manually and I am sure I will miss that convenience.Because of the issues with having to basically bend the brackets to get the lead screws to align with the couplers I was worried that there was going to be some binding when I moved the z-axis. However, to my delight, it easily moved up and down without any binding. I was careful to manually adjust the z height on either side to get the x-axis gantry perfectly level before I plugged it in, but it worked great. The test print was absolutely perfect with no visible vertical layer patterns. It actually produced the best layers I have ever seen on this printer. I have made many upgrades and this one has probably had the most visible impact on print quality. Despite the few minor issues I would definitely recommend this kit.

I ordered the ball screw upgrade for my Creality 3 S1 Pro. I got the package on time and everything mated together nicely until I got to putting the ball screws in place. I have linear rails on my printer but I ordered them from another company, when I went to put the ball screws in place I saw it wouldn't work because the motors aren't lined up with the X-axis bracket. The bracket that I needed, in order to get everything lined up, was sold separately in Chowthink's Z-Axis linear rail upgrade kit (Which I didn't have because I bought linear rails from a different company) Regardless the customer service agent understood and sent me the necessary brackets in order to make the kit work for free. Good company to buy from, prices are fair, their products work well and customer service is great.(Ordered the old ball screw kit, the new one 1/27/2024 is slightly different and comes with the brackets I mention)

Support from the ChowThink Store is great, with fast replies and helpful.I purchased X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis linear guide rail kit 3.0, and Ball Screw for the Ender 3 S1. Even installing all of the kits at the same time was very quick. The seller quickly replied which parts to use from what kit. (Motor seat and Screw seat from the Z-axis kit and X-axis Support Plates from the Ball Screw kit)The reason the Ball Screw Kit does not get 5 Stars is that the four screws for each of the Brass Couplers are too short to screw the Ball Screw into the Coupler. They actually pulled out and stripped the first thread while tuning the printer. I replaced them with six M4 x 12 mm with locking washers.Side Note: For extended bed screws I used 50 mm instead of 45 mm so I would have a little extra length to add a M4 to lock against the adjustment wheels. For the extended bed spring I am currently using a 30 mm. I will replace the springs with 35 mm or make a spacer for my silicone mounts. The 30 mm springs work with an M4 nut and lock washer to lock the bed screws fine, but I would prefer the spring to be a little more compressed without risking the X-axis support plates hitting the motor mounts.

I took my time to bend, tweak, and shim the bracket so the screw was going perfectly into the coupling. I didn't want any tension on the screw. Also because of side braces taking up the top rail I did not install the upper bearing. There's no instructions or even an assembly / parts diagram but watching a vid or two it's not that hard.Edit: there's instructions now! ThanksMy printers gantry is really smooth and upon power loss it always dropped, this fixed that. I feel without the backlash of ehe acme screw Zhop works much better now because the gantry is controlled up and down. I measured my travel and the steps of 800 are bang on.bang for the buck I bought another one for my second printer, very happy

The installation was a breeze, there are no instructions so beware. No extra noise from bearing like I had read. Alignment happened without any effort. Super happy. Smooth.

Very easy to install. Works perfect. OEM Creality lead screws are horrible, this is the perfect upgrade to increase z tolerance. Worth every penny.
