Provides an excellent primerless adhesion to most common building materials, e.g. concrete, wood, masonry, different metals, glass, many plastics, etc. Permanently plastic. “Self-healing” behavior. Easy to use. Excellent UV- and weather resistance. Very low vapor and gas permeability. Non- corrosive to metals. Excellent adhesion to a wide range of porous and non-porous substrates. Overpaintable Practically odorless. Field of applications Butyl mastic can be used for sealing joints with low movements, where high weather resistance and permanently plastic behavior is expected. For example, metal roof sealing, sealing the lap joints between metal panels with the inclusion of fasteners, sealing window tins, repairing and renovation of roofs and gutters, sealing greenhouses. Can be used for airtight gluing and sealing of different membranes. Application conditions Application instructions The surfaces must be clean from dust, loose particles and oil. Non-porous surfaces should be cleaned with solvent and a clean, non-fluffy cotton cloth. Solvent rests should be removed before evaporating with a clean cloth. Cartridge (up to 310ml): Cut off the threaded end of the cartridge and screw on the application nozzle for directing mastic. Cut the threaded end in a way where a suitable opening for application is produced. Place the cartridge together with the applicator in the gun and fill the installation nozzle with mastic, by repeatedly pressing the gun trigger. 600 ml foil package: Open the application nozzle of the gun, insert the package in the gun and open the applicator side by removing the fastening clamp. Place the applicator nozzle on the opened end and screw on the cap.
