I didn’t give it one star because it technically works but, the motor is so weak I often have to pull the pump out and spin the motor by hand while powered in order to get it to go. Sometimes it works for a while, sometimes it stops and I have to pull the pump again and repeat the process. I wouldn’t buy it again and may just replace it soon with something more reliable.

Suction cups provided with this unit were stiff and unusable. Luckily the aerator mount came with mounting screws.

Pump works great, issue is with the suction cups and the clips that hold the water tube-Cups are made of this hard (I mean hard plastic rubber) vertically impossible to push in so it stays stuck.-clips are so flimsy/thin (poor design in general)I had to ask Amazon for replacement parts (got the same sort of crap), I ended up using 2 part epoxy to get the cups to stick in placeNote; even the screws that are inserted into the cups to hold the clips are garbage (they end up spinning in the cup (so you either can’t unscrew or screw in the clipsDon’t buy this pump system!, find another brand

Put this system in a 150qt coleman ice chest for my live well biggest catch so far 8 channel and blue cat from 3 to 6 lbs 5 or 6 hrs on the lake all made it home alive KEEP the filter clean and replaced if fishing in murky water you may even have to clean it while on the lake. One day caught a few cats that crapped out some moss and plugged it up but was a fast fix. I also cut the hose down use the longer piece when I stick the pump in the water to fill the ice chest and shorter piece when running it

I belong to a local Bass Club, but I cannot afford one of the large fancy bass boats, with a livewell. I use a small 10 foot Jon boat and this little kit turned a medium size cooler into a great livewell. In fact it was able to keep three nice fish alive all day, (I caught all three early in the A.M.), until I returned back to the ramp for the weigh in, where I won the first tournament that I used the kit!

I bought this pump for an outdoor aquaponics setup. It's used to keep the fish oxygenated during the night when the main water pumps are shut down. Since this is an off grid application I use 12v battery bank to run the pumps and the aerator. This aerator keeps the 250 gallon tank oxygenated.I was very surprised to find that the pump only draws about 1/4 of an amp at 12 volts. This is really good power usage and great for saving your batteries even during extended use. I run this pump about 12 hours a day without any problems.I am not sure how well it oxygenates the water however because I don't have an oxygen meter to measure it.
