These speakers are excellent for skiing. The sound quality listening to music or receiving phone calls is top-notch. Also, the battery life is very good and it will last you all day. My only issue with this speaker is the mounts that the speakers plugged into on each side of your helmet do not do a good job of gripping onto the speakers themselves, they pop out very easily. Also, the cable to charge and the connection for the charging is a little wonky.

I didn't know this was a thing, until I realized how much of a thing it can be. I think the best part is talking to your friends while skiing, not having to take your phone out in the cold, and being able to switch channels from the radio to the playlist, to the friends channel it is really neat! I do wish the packet had someway to have 2 inside. One can only do so much with one. I feel like I got walkie talkies, but instead of the pair you have one. But I will bug my family and friends to see if they will jump on the band wagon!

Though the quality of this intercom is good and great for skiing and communicating with friends, be aware that the information displayed in the pictures is far from accurate. It says "intercom system for four people." I got the box and it had only one set of intercom for ONE PERSON!! $180 dollars for a set that only works for listening to music! This product is sold with the idea of having 4 sets for four people, but in reality is just for one person. You will need to purchase extra sets to intercom with others. The price is outrageous for one set only. Imagine you have to purchase another set for this price to be able to use it as an actual intercom. I returned this product and got my money back. Most intercom systems are sold as a pair of two or more out of the box.!

This is a great ski/snowboard helmet intercom system in my opinion! It was simple to mount and worked great with my particular style of helmet. The sound quality is excellent, and the range has been just fine so far. The battery life is good too, and I like that four people can all be connected at one time with full freedom to talk handsfree with no need for pressing a button like a regular walkie talkie. I also like that music can be shared between all the connected parties. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would not hesitate to recommend it with the top five star rating for sure!

I grew up in Utah skiing and snowboarding the 'greatest snow on earth'. I still enjoy it though I don't get to do it as often. While skiing at an actual resort is pretty safe that isn't the case with the backcountry. It can be dangerous and if you don't take safety seriously it can be fatal.Fortunately, there's now a lot of safety options for backcountry skiing/snowboarding--most related to avalanche danger. I guess you could say that this is part of that though it could be useful for a number of other things (or for that matter a number of other sports like mountain biking). You should never go out of bounds or into burly terrain alone. Going with a group is the safest option and this sweet little device allows you to stay in constant communication with your buddies. This can add to the fun and it can be very important if something goes wrong. There's not much to say about this helmet intercom speaker because it just works and works well. It has very effective wind reduction and mounts to any open face helmet. Just an essential device for any serious action sports enthusiast. Highly recommended!

We've used this system for a few riding days now and are seriously impressed with the ease of use and sound quality. It's a little gimmicky the way it clips outside the helmet, but it stays and it works fine. The only problem we have is the short battery life. It won't last all day on the hill, but if you charge it while you break for lunch it should be fine. Also the charging connection is really weird and sometimes it's difficult to actually get it to charge. Have to fiddle with it quite a bit. But overall really impressed with the system, would recommend

I have a few helmets this will actually work with, but unfortunately none of them are skiing helmets. So I can't really give any perspective on how this performs in the rapid, shaky world of a downhill skier. However, I do have a bike helmet it works on, as well as a kayak helmet it works on as well. One of the things you look for in a kayak com system is obviously being waterproof. This is IP67 rated, which includes immersion up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. That sounds like it'll meet the demands of kayaking to me. If I'm underwater for more than 30 minutes, I'm afraid it's over for me, so any intercom system that will work longer than I do underwater is good enough as far as I'm concerned. Not only would this be good for kayakers, but bicyclists should also consider this if they have a compatible helmet. Sound quality is pretty good, but they sound better for vocals and coms than they do for music. Not that it's bad for music, it's just that a dedicated pair of headphones is what I want to use if all I'm doing is listening to music, when I'm wearing a headset like this, music is often an afterthought.Battery life is claimed to be "all day on the mountain", and I haven't yet tested that theory, but here's what I suspect...I suspect if you just use it for communication, the 500mAh battery is probably good enough for all day, but if you have the volume cranked to 11 listening to your favorite ski jams (are there "ski jams"?), I'm not sure I'd guarantee a full day of battery life. As I said, I haven't tested this fully yet, I just know running normal headphones at high volume significantly decreases the battery life, so I have little doubt the same physics apply here as well.In all, this is a really nice intercom set for kayakers...bikers...skiers...snowboarders...in other words, "helmeted folks in general". Just make sure your helmet straps somewhat resemble what you see in the photos, and you should be ok.
