I love how flexible and easy to use this trim was. All I needed was my fingers and some scissors!I kept the roll at room temperature until I was ready to install, and it only took a few minutes per door to replace.(I did take some extra time to clean-out the channel with windex, and I replaced some rusty, lower screws with stainless ones before putting the new trim on.)RV Designer brand is likely the only brand I will buy in the future.

Works just like the factory part. Decent price vs the RV dealer so I purchased here. Same product they sell you at the dealer, so you can save some $ if you buy here.

After trying other RV trim products, I happened across this. The quality seems much better. The flexibility is good which helps with the install, yet is seems much more durable than the original equipment and other trim products I was trying. I bought 150 feet and did my entire trailer. It looks great!

I installed this today. It feels like rubber, and is very stiff. It is thicker then what is already on my camper. This is a very easy and inexpensive upgrade/ regular maintenance to keep your camper water tight!

It was time to replace our insert molding on our 2019 Grand Design 337. We're full-time and are exposed to every type of weather out there. When inspecting the insert it was getting noticeably harder and less pliable. The replacement was straightforward and it is a good idea to let it warm in the sun for a bit to add to the flexibility. Taking out the old insert was easy and spent time inspecting the insert grooves, cleaning them out with mineral spirits and a small plastic scraper then securing the screws and using some Lexel sealant on the screw heads. Just make sure the insert sits securely in the insert grooves as there may be an area or 5 or 6 where it may not catch properly. I also did a beed of Lexel about 3' up from each end to further prevent moisture from getting in and securing it so as to avoid the dreaded insert molding flying around down the road scenario. Also, consider a few short areas over the length of the insert strip where you put some additional sealant just in case. When it is time to remove it again, it's easy to pull it right out sealant or no sealant.

I used this to replace cracking, weather worn trim on our old 2000 Shasta camper. It is very easy to squeeze into the channels. I got it installed and resealed on the front cap of the trailer in about 45 minutes total work.

Edit: Old review of STANDARD product: 2 stars: They call it 1", but it is not the same, it is about 1/16" shorter between the rails, so it will lay at a different position than the original. You can use it, but if you are repairing old, it will require you to run sealant over the transition so there is not a gap between the two.Edit: NEW review of HEAVY DUTY variant: 5 STARS: I had to buy more and saw that the heavy duty was getting good reviews, so I ordered 100 feet. THIS VARIANT IS MUCH BETTER!. The standard variety was plastic and I think will fail like the original material. This is more rubbery but still shiny, matches the old dimensions better, except is even thicker than original, and best of all, is very easy to install. I didn't try to pull it through the rail like last time, I simply pulled the old out, and started at one end, laying the bottom in the rail first, then bending the material so I could push it into the top part of the rail. It definitely wants to stay with no problem. I was able to do 35 feet in about 1/2 hour, spending more time going up and down the ladder than actually installing it. MUCH better. DO NOT BUY STANDARD, get HEAVY DUTY, and you might as will get 100 feet, you're going to need to keep replacing the original stuff as it fails. 5 stars! I think the heavy duty will last MUCH longer.
