I put this into the lower seat console of my 2016 F-150. I bolted two parallel pieces of 1.5" angle iron inside the lower console and attached them to the truck frame. Then I positioned the box between the angle iron and attached the lockbox from the inside to the angle iron. The height of the angle iron goes above the split line of the clamshell, so it is impossible for someone to get a prybar into it. It sounds more complex than it was, but it is a "bulletproof installation. Also, this box is a good value. NOTE: This is not on the California Roster.

If all you need is a simple keyed lock box, this is the one to get. Decent build quality. This will keep the firearm away from snooping children and keep a dumb thief from stealing.Punched above it's price point. Gdubz Recommended!

I got this to use whenever I leave my firearm in my car for extended periods of time. The included cable seems to be sturdy and it locks around the seat chassis. I added another steel cable and lock so both sides are adhered to the seat and it’s not going anywhere.I wouldn’t use this as a lengthy storage device but for short amounts of time I think it will do the job. Would definitely deter any smash and grabs. I use it for a Glock 19 gen 5 and it fits holstered as well.

I’ve had my RPNB biometric lock box for about a year and I am very satisfied with this product. The fingerprint reader is very sensitive and the top pops up quickly for fast access to my handgun. Comes with two extra keys.The box is made of heavy-grade steel and is very secure so, those who are not allowed access cannot gain access.The lock box comes with a heavy cable, which is easily attached and locked to the lock box itself.I ran the cable from the lockbox through the back of my nightstand and lag-bolted it to the frame of the bedroom wall, so the box itself couldn't be stolen.I've also just recently purchased an RPNB keyed lock box for my truck and am really happy with that one, too—I slid that one under the seat and cabled it to the metal seat frame.I would highly recommend this product for the securing and easy-quick access of firearms, valuables, documents, cash, passports, and/ or jewelry. Not water or fire proof.

Ok I have purchased portable Gun Safe from $60-150 for this $30 safe is probably the best so far when it comes to rigidity. its sold and secure also having a key is is a plus for me specially for Car gun safe since im only using this if i cant bring my Gun a place that is restricted. for $30 it is worth every penny.

Simple gun case fairly built. Meets the intent of a blue state law. It's getting 4 stars because the cable tends pop out while placing gun in or removing it. Simple fix using some duct tape and then placing foam back over taped cable. It's just enough while jocking it open etc.

I simply wanted a moderately secure safe and well built safe for two firearms for a reasonable price.I tried other safes and they were either flimsy or too thin gage metal or the locks were cheap or didn't work.This safe is very strong, sturdy and well constructed and VERY reasonably priced !It also came with a MUCH thicker cable than 2 of the other safes I tried and returned.

When it arrived I thought I would have to return it. As others mentioned, the lid was closed and a little whopper jawed, so it would not even open. I pried it open and it popped into its proper place, no dents and it opens and closes fine. Maybe it got damaged in shipping, but it’s perfectly fine. It fits in my night stand and holds my full size pistol and a compact pistol, securing them from my grandson, but easy enough to open for access when needed.
