This is a nice emergency ladder. Very visible safety orange - durable oxford cloth with double stitching - seems very tough (especially for a single emergency use situation which would be the only time I would need this). Comes with a nice bag for storing this away too.Please know that, even though the listing title says "2 hooks", they're not hooks. They're actually carabiners. Which has its benefits and cons. I'm happy with it, though it would have been nice to include hooks along with the carabiners for versatile and quick (as in emergency) setup.I'm confident this will serve its purpose well. Seems well design with attention to detail, which is important for products like these.I hope you liked my review. I always try really hard to write reviews are are candid, honest, and helpful for your shopping decisions. No AI here... all the poor writing is mine and mine alone! :-P

The ladder is robust, well made, and functions as designed. It's also easy to use. The one design issue I have is that it requires 2 heavy duty carabiners to be used to anchor the ladder. Most other emergency ladders have large hooks you place over the window sill. Instead, we will have to install some secure anchors over a specific window in order to use this emergency ladder.

I got this for my attic book nook. There's only one way up and down, except a two story window. I wanted to have something in case I ever need to escape through that window, and this gives me peace of mind. There's bookshelves built around it, so adding a bar at the sill kind of fits in, and is a good place to secure it. It is all strapping though, the "steps" are not solid. I didn't exactly expect that though, since it all fits in the bag the way it does, and the bag isn't huge. Easy to store, and a decent price for safety!

Order this for emergency fire preparedness. Of course I had to test it out when we first received it. Kids love this thing more than the stairwell inside the house! This is a really really important item to have if you have a two-story home and need to get out through a window or upper deck. It can be a little shaky as it is not a rigid aluminum ladder, but it is very strong and secure. Make sure you install it when you receive it to make sure it works and you can easily use it if needed in an emergency. I'm very happy with my order.

This emergency escape ladder is long enough to work with our 2 story house. It has 2 heavy duty carabiner clips to help secure it. We are probably going to put heavy duty wall anchors in the upstairs rooms to clip it to but in the meantime, it's actually long enough that we could wrap it around something heavy and clip it to itself to anchor it.I like that it stows away nicely in its carry bag but is still quick and easy to pull out for use. Brings me some decent peace of mind having it on hand.

For the price, or even just a little bit more, you could do better. I ordered the ladder for my nine year old daughters bedroom, just in case. This ladder attaches to the window with 2 caribeaners. This makes no sense to me. There is no place to attach to on our windows. I think most people's windows have no place to attach. Also, if would be clumsy and difficult to attach if there was a place to, especially for a child and really especially if she is scared. I feel like these are mostly bought for children's bedrooms and for a child I just think can do better. Not just the caribeaners but also there are no pegs or anything to hold the ladder out from the wall. So, if this ladder was used to escape out a window, the ladder would lie flat against the wall making it very very difficult to get feet onto or even feel where the rungs are.The picture is misleading. It shows the ladder straight and rigid and at an angle as if it is leaning against the mountain or rock wall. This is not an accurate depiction of the use of this ladder. It must be attached to something and hang as it is a rope ladder.This would be great as a tree house ladder or something, though.

There isn't much to say about this item except that I hope I never have to use it but I feel relief knowing it's there. It's sturdy and well made and folds up nicely into a bag that you can store in an upstairs closet. It is pretty heavy so keep that in mind if you're planning to have children access it. Make a fire plan that is useable by all and this ladder will keep you safe. Be sure you know what to do with it beforehand. Nice ladder overall.
