I always have plenty of this on hand. I’m a East Coast mountain biker and my bike gets dirty. Love this stuff. Works great.

Rock N Roll is the only bicycle chain lubrication product that I will use on my bicycles. I ride on road and off, traditional cycles and e-bikes! This chain lubricant is an excellent protective product for any chain driven bicycle, tricycle, and electrics...NOT FOR MOTORCYCLES...When used a directed it dries clean, clear, and dry filling your chain linkage, bearings, and metal parts with much needed Teflon to keep dirt and water out while providing excellent drivetrain shifting and a nice quiet ride.Cleaning a chain coated with this product is easy. In most cases just wipe and reapply as directed!

I’ve worked in bike shops from 1994-2004 and I’ve ridden and raced in all kinds of conditions, on all kinds of terrain and all kinds of bike races. Today, I own and operate a pedicab company and maintain my pedicabs with this. This is the best lube I’ve found. Back when dry lubes first came out, I made the mistake of using dry lube on an epic one day ride that had rain, dust, about a dozen stream crossings and a ton of hills...it wasn’t long before my lube was gone off my chain. The rain and streams took the dry lube off. I hate attracting dirt with traditional lube but at least it resists water. This is a dry lube that doesnt gunk up with dirt AND is water proof.Second, its also a cleaner. Seriously! You put it on a dirty chain liberally, then get about 4 or 5 rags, you wipe and wipe and wipe and wipe. You can’t wipe it off. You end up wiping all the grim away, but the lube stays where its needed at the pivot points on the chain (the bearings). I’ve stopped using a chain cleaner and degreaser when I clean my bikes and just do the apply and wipe. I put it on my kids bikes, my mountain bikes, my road bikes and my businesses’ pedicabs for work.

I haven't tried every single lube out there, but did my own extensive trials with buying about 10 different lubes and trying them all a few times in different conditions. Each brand was applied as per instructions on a cleaned air compressor blown out dry chain. This was by far the best for MTB. Dusty or wet, this lasted the longest and was the second cleanest. First place cleanest sucked for longevity in dust or creek crossings. One ride only.Rock n roll extreme was pretty much just as clean, but slightly less. Definitely not dirty and doesn't get grimy. In dry dusty conditions I apply about once every 6-10 hours of riding. I do a big solvent/ chain cleaner, jet hose blow through, air compressor blow clean about once every month or two.Seems to last through at least two fairly wet off road rides, if not a bit longer. I tend to avoid riding wet trails though; damages the muck-prone trails. My longest wet ride with this lube was Vancouver North Shore Trail ride for about 6 hours in the winter. About 3 hours of that was in snow. This includes a grimey road ride commute to and from the trails. No performance loss during the ride. Probably could have got away with another dryer ride, but decided to clean it and re-lube. Best performance I’ve experienced on a ride like that. Usually by the end of one of those, I can feel and hear the loss of lube and increased grime accumulation. Only marginally with the blue Rock N Roll. I was surprised and impressed. Started this ride with fresh lube, maybe only a couple short dry rides on it before.

This maybe should be a five-star review, but my chain looks like hell from rust. I got it because every time I had to commute in the rain my chain would squeak the next day. I was using some other chain lube. Now it doesn't squeak at all, but should I be worried that my chain looks like a rustbucket? Maybe not? Maybe? It is really clean stuff. You wipe the chain dry and let it dry more after you use it. The chain is really dry the next day. Nothing sticks to it. But go through rain and it turns rust-brown, so I have to lube it again if I want it to look nice, or if I don't, it looks like a homeless guy's bike. But it isn't squeaking. So I'm kind of torn. This stuff isn't cheap, and you have to use a lot of it if you go by instructions. It would be perfect if it left some kind of magical rust-proof coating on the outside of the chain as well as it seems to lubricate the inside of the chain. BTW, it rains in Florida a lot and I don't mind getting myself wet.
