Installation of Rear Lift Gate Strut
- Keep the tailgate door open on max height, remove inner trim panel.
- Unplug plug, use tool to loose old spherical joint, insert new one.
- Plug liftgate plug, recover inner trim panel.
- Use diagnostic scanner to clear error code, clear if show negative/occasional; replace lift struts if show permanent.
- Confirm L/R mark on struts before install
Methods to Active Tailgate Remote Function
- Push the trunk close button.
- Close the tailgate by hand slowly and push the trunk open button.
- Use diagnostic scanner to reset control module and push trunk close button.
- This is a non-OEM product, accessory only!
