Using these in a Heat treating plant that has lots of water in the air lines due to the temp diffrence. Hve it set to drain for 5 seconds ever 1/2 hour and has worked well for our needs.

....because of the micro-printed "salad of words" which is supposed to be the manual.Total useless, but the valve works just fine. Pretty good bang for the buck ! 👍

I no longer have to remember to drain my compressors. Just set the interval and how long u want it to empty for and let it do the work.

As others have mentioned, the combination valve/strainer is cool, but its 1/2" NPS threaded. That means STRAIGHT threaded. No taper. Getting it to seal means plenty of -setting- type pipe dope.The hose is nice for relocating the valve, but the fitting included is a 3/8" by 1/4" pipe thread bushing. The valve is 1/2" pipe. So, plan to buy at least a 1/2" by 1/4" pipe bushing.To use the strainer at all you also need to buy a 1/2" pipe coupling and some GOOD pipe dope.

This is not a plug & play installation.Instructions seem to have been translated from the Venusian into North Korean, and then to English. Completely incomprehensible; utterly useless.Threads are 1/2 inch. You will need adapters. And Teflon tape.Valve leaked when first installed. Had to disassemble, rotate to get it working right.BUT consider the cost. 1/10 price of alternatives. For my shop, this’ll do.

I thought this would be a great solution for purging water from my compressor. Kit looked good when I opened the box. When it came time to install it I quickly realized I needed to buy adapters just to plumb the thing together. The instructions are worthless, and obviously translated from another language (Chinese?), and poorly. No illustrations at all. Off to the hardware store I go. $40 in fittings later I got it all plumbed up. Plugged in the valve and compressor. As pressure was building I noticed that there was air coming out of the exit tube. The valve was closed, so there should have been no air at all coming out. I consider this product a total fail. I should have spend more on a better kit that would actually work for me. If I could give zero stars I would. Do not purchase this product.

I love this Automated drain valve.. Since I added an intercooler to my 60 gallon air compressor, I was able to set my automatic drain for a two second duration every 45 minutes. And now I never have to worry about fooling with that damn petcock. And I couldn’t believe how inexpensive this product was. Let’s hope it lasts?

Easy to use and install right out of the box. Set and forget, adjusted settings to what I needed and it functions as should. No water in my tank anymore, no need to bend down and manually drain tank. In event of power failure, when power returns, valve automatically purges and then follows the predetermined prior settings

compré este "kit" pensando que era lo único que necesitaba para dejar mi compresor con purga automática.no trae adaptador de 1/2 a 1/4 npt, el cual tuve que pedir de amazon por que no lo conseguí en las tiendas cercanas a mi.le pongo 2 estrellas por que la solenoide jala bien por el momento, pero este producto se anuncia como un kit y no es un kit, solo son una seleccion de piezas sin ese adaptador.

Been on my 125 gallon compressor for over 30 days and working great. I set it for 45 min and a 3 second purge it is keeping my tank dry.

I have never, ever read such atrocious instructions. Even knowing what it was and having a solid idea of what to do, they were truly worthless.The unit itself, however, works well. Assemble a few parts (very obvious), plug it in. Left knob adjusts how long it vents in seconds, right knob adjusts how often it waits between venting in minutes. I have mine set to 2 seconds every 45 minutes and it seems to be accurate enough. Couldn’t set your watch by it, but for a $25 unit you shouldn’t care that much.Good enough I’m buying another for my other compressor.
