Discovered circle lights before Thanksgiving and did a web search. I originally considered some of the smaller low cost circle lights, but after considering all the uses I'd find for the light, we selected this larger model. Our first use was a Facetime meal with our grandson that live 1,200 miles away. Our smart phone securely mounted in the center clamp for perfect alignment during our Facetime visit. We especially liked the brightness/color adjustment feature the light has and our image on the other end of our Facetime visit was evenly illuminated. The tripod the light came with enabled us to easily set up the light at the optimal table height and provides a very stable base for use. My wife does a morning exercise routine, via Facetime, with a group of friends. She uses this circle light on full brightness since many exercises are done standing up at a distance from the light. There is a very nice even amount of illumination from the light at all distances. The circle light mount allows a full range of adjustments in all directions and I plan to set up my digital camera in the center of the light in a horizontal position so I can use it as a copy stand to digitize hundreds of old family photographs. So far we've found lots of uses for the light and are pretty satisfied with all the features the light has. The initial cost was more then we intended to spend, but we're glad we bought it.

Finally very happy to get a true high CRI light. I have a color meter to check the tint (which tells you how green a light is) and also what the K is. The light only needs 2 points magenta to make it 100% neutral and that's the cleanest I have found with LED's so far so that's great. The K on my light though is not near 5800. It is only 4800 k at the maximum So if you want it to be a true 5500 K light, you'll need to put CTB on it. At the lower end - when the light said it was 3000K it was actually 2860. So just make sure if you need accurate WB and you're mixing lights, just use a color meter to make them match.I need to use this light in a room that has daylight coming in so it cannot be a green light so this will work fine.As with many lights that have power trim and are bi-color - the tint does shift a little bit when going through the whole scale of K. At the 3000K light setting, my color meter said it needed 6 points magenta. I'll take that over needing green. Then at the high end of K on the light it only needed 2 points green - which isn't a big deal either. Also when power trimming the light, the WB will shift a little as well even though it's not supposed to. Many lights with power trim do that. The last light I bought here on Amazon claiming it had a high CRI needed over 20 points magenta to CC the green out. That was the 14" ring light by Mactrem so don't get that one. This light has groups and channels. The instructions make absolutely no sense for what those are for or how to use them. I'm assuming that's for mixing in other lights. Also says there's a remote. I didn't buy that option. I went to their website and they don't even list this light so I couldn't find anything talking about the groups or channels.
