So many uses, and so stable! I've now ordered many "clamps" that I thought were good... until I put my hands on these. Of course, not the lightest items for your traveling kit, but of course works for that too. You get lots of heavy-duty capacity with these, to hold all kinds of equipment. These solve problems I didn't know I had... I plan to install some heavy duty bars in my home office, to now have the flexibility to move lighting and cameras around with ease, and forget all those complicated arms and arm type assemblies.

I've got some Bogen clamps like these, but the plastic jaw liner got old and cracked and I don't have a good replacement liner, so these are a great replacement and feel just as sturdy. They seem generic, with "PHOCUS" slapped on with a very basic sticker. Regardless, the quality is fine for my purposes and I like the plastic triangle spacer that fits in the jaw, though I don't know how durable it will be.Mafers are not my favorite clamps - I usually prefer Cardi clamps. But sometimes a mafer clamp is just what you need.
