Your cart is empty.OVERVIEW Fix both the burning oil smell and blue exhaust smoke problems associated with your WRX turboback exhaust or Stage 2 and higher WRX by installing the PERRIN Turbo Sump Restrictor. WHY YOU WANT THIS Many customers experience a burning oil problem or blue smoke coming from their exhaust after installing aftermarket J-Pipes or turboback exhaust systems. Installing these parts on 2015+ WRXs (FA DIT engine) causes a change in exhaust pressure, allowing engine oil to escape out the turbo seals. This leaks into the exhaust creating the burning oil smell and blue smoke that many people see. Cars with catless J-Pipe setups experience this issue much more than cars with high-flow cats. HOW THE PERRIN PART WORKS The PERRIN Turbo Sump Restrictor makes the turbo sump pump more effective at sucking oil out of the turbo sump. This in turn creates a slight vacuum on the turbo sump creating a proper balance of exhaust pressure and vacuum on the turbo seals, significantly reducing the amount of leaking around the turbo seals. This does not change the oil flow to the turbo in any way. PROVEN EFFECTIVENESS Since drivers have been installing turboback exhausts on 2015+ FA DIT WRXs, there have been both burning oil smell and blue exhaust smoke issues. After a short period of time, we found a great solution in the form of the PERRIN Turbo Sump Restrictor. We wanted to make sure we could come up with an effective solution and tested our solution over the course of two years. To think that this lil device could make my 2017 WRX stop smoking so much is absurd! If you've got a modified WRX 15-20 with a aftermarket downpipe you'll need this. So what does it do you say? It's able to level out the vacuum levels on your turbos seals, therefore not allowing oil to be burned at a rapid pace. Buy it before you ruin your exhaust!!!

I was skeptical at first, but the end result is night and day! I don't see (or smell) the blue smoke of burning oil that I was experiencing at idle and hard acceleration. Wish I did this when I first went stage 2, but I thought I was relatively safe from the problem with a catted J-Pipe. So, this part should be in your cart regardless if you are going catted or catless.The hardest part honestly, was getting started. Being hesitant on cutting the hose and thinking about making a mistake; but once you get past that, it's easy. Remove the left radiator fan to make this much easier too. Highly recommend!

Work as described, id say 95% less oil smoke from the exhaust/turbo on my pro-tunned wrx. Installation is a breeze : 10 min max and no need to remove anything if you go by the top of the engine bay. Been on my car for several week and no leak at all. I used snap clamp instead of the one they give.

I was having issues with burning oil on my stage 2 tune and so far so good with this little mod only took about 15 minutes to install and got rid of the Stubborn smoke on idle issue!
