My daughter loves the patterns. Best of both worlds when she loves Mario and loves crafting with melting beads. Patterns are easy to follow.

This book is so fun! It provides endless entertainment and an affordable price. The book is very durable and well made and the colors and design match up flawlessly. This would make a great gift as well!

Now I see why this was so cheap, it’s still good but I didn’t look close enough to see that it’s just the book and no beads. Luckily we already have some from another set and I think my son will really like this!

There is a wide variety of image to use. 16 different Mario versions ( small, large, fire and raccoon), 23 Enemies (turtles, ghost, ghoomba, squid, fish, king koopa, hammer bro, etc) plenty of misc (blocks, coin, cloud, flower, mushrooms, etc) Couple of the patterns, IMO, are not very good but for the most part they are great. Will spwend plenty of hours making. Definatly, glad I made this purchase, and recommend.

This is so great for a Mario fan! Our boys are obsessed and you know sometimes they just need to get off of the games and DO something. It is so hard to find stuff they are into, the more digital the world gets, the more toys, actual toys take a backseat. Perler beads are all over our house! We have many sets and many colors and we do need more boards which I will have to pick up soon since some of these need more boards. Like Bowser takes either 3 or 5 mini boards. Whats neat about the book is my son just set the board on top of the book and we put the perler beads right on that way because you can see right under it and it is actual size! Smart design Perler beads. They are very cool. If you are getting for younger kids, Like mine are 4 and 6 that play with this, our 9 year old is beyond this- Pokemon all the way! Lol But for younger kids I suggest getting the tweezers and extra boards right off the bat because it gets frustrating for them to keep trying to put the beads in there and have them fall of of their pegs because they bumped the beads trying to get the one on they were trying to do. Definitely the other boards too because really how are you going to do the bigger cool projects without them, I thought I could Iron the one part and then move the fully ironed piece over and start building again to free up the board & to add on but what nonsense! The boards are cheap enough I suggest getting like 5 small ones or a big one.
