I Installed this in Feb 2024 and fully populated it since my main system has 22 drives in it. I purchased it since newer motherboards come with fewer SATA ports these days. Things worked great from Feb through Sept, but then I noticed a drive or two missing. I rebooted and then it seemed fixed, but within minutes, the same two drives disappeared. Then it became four drives missing, which is where it stands now. I checked SATA power connectors, SATA cables, and they were fine. When I switched drives to different ports, the ones connected to these 4 ports were suddenly missing. I reached out to Amazon who put a message through to the seller. I explained it to them, and they essentially told me to (and I quote) “have a nice life”. I’m done. Will find another board from different seller.

Will not boot unless Windows. Delays boot by at least two minutes. Make troubleshooting worse then pulling finger nails. Sending it back.

If you just need to add a bunch of drives and don't care about performance, than this card is for you. It detected all the drive no problem in TrueNAS Scale, but the disk performance takes essentially 1 SATA lane, and divides it up amongst all the drives attached. The best performance I was able to get out of this was 164 KB/s Yes KILO BYTES / Sec per drive when I had all 16 drives attached. Don't waste your time or money on these. Go for the actual LSI cards if you want any sort of performance.The seller was great to deal with though! Fast shipping, and good packaging.

BEYIMEI PCIE SATA Card 16 Ports is what i bought. It's installed in a 1x slot on my motherboard.First off, the drivers.The drivers are odd. I installed the drivers that came included BUT, that doesn't really work (sort of). Windows device manager will show missing drivers BUT it still works so i just ignore device manager.I contacted the seller about the driver situation but they just contacted me back with the same drivers. I will admit though i didn't bother installing the drivers they sent me but that's because it looked like it was exactly the same drivers.Besides that everything works fine.....except one issue i ran into but found out how to fix it10 and under SATA drives worked fine. But when i added 11 and 12 total drives...i could no longer boot into windows 11.(Yes this works with Windows 10 and 11)I drove myself crazy wondering why the heck i couldn't start Windows. I tested everything. I tested the SATA power and data cables... i tried all sorts of combinations to try to figure out how to fix it....AND THEN i realized, if i unplug 2 SATA drives giving me a total of 10 drives. Everything works fine.Then i started to wonder, do i need a bigger PSU? My PSU is 850watts.As i was about to give up, (with my 12 total drives connected) i booted into my BIOS. I turned "fast boot" OFF.I saved my BIOS settings, restarted the PC and Windows booted up as normal!!IT WORKS NOW!So if you buy this, device, turn FAST BOOT off! or at least make a note of this, in case you install enough drives one day and you can't boot into windows. THIS MAY BE THE SOLUTION!I found that fast boot off works just like fast boot on. It's fast. Not sure why but for my motherboard it starts fast.I also want to note that i bought this product many months ago. And it still works and works good. Speed is good. I only came to review this product now to share my discovery about the "FAST BOOT" situation and solution. For anyone else who runs into this problem. Now you know!

Non credevo andasse così bene!Messo a gestire HD anche da 16 TB su NAS fatto con PC e TrueNAS ha funzionato subito senza problemi.Attenzione, però , quasi sicuramente non va su VMWare ESXi, ma per il resto... veramente OK.E ha 16 porte !!!

Mein nas läuft unter openmediavault der Controller hat ohne weitere Treiberinstallationen sofort funktioniert.Der Durchsatz ist okay. Den Stromverbrauch kann ich zwar jetzt nicht direkt messen aber wenn man mal die Betriebstemperatur zugrunde legt ( Der Controller wird gerade mal handwarm ) dann kann die Stromaufnahme nicht sonderlich hoch sein.
