best strings for warm and mellow sound, but a little bit fragile they can break esily with temperature and humidity changes.

I've just replaced my twangy A string with this and it's wonderful. Not an ounce of twang :) Nice, clear sound. Very very happy.

Replaced just the A string and am quite pleased with the warm, full tone of the gut core string compared to the rather sharp, metallic tone of the old steel string.

Love it! Replaced the Larsen A/D on my cello with Passione, and am happy with the switch. I will definitely be buying more when it comes time for new strings. I liked the Larsen strings a lot, but wanted something with a bit more complexity and warmth, and that is exactly what I got with the Passiones. As would be expected, I sacrificed a little bit of power switching from Larsen to Passione, but not as much as you might expect.Where these strings truly shine is in the high register, where they have a gloriously warm, beautiful, and projecting sound. They are noticeably more pliant than the Larsens, which is really nice when playing up in that register. These strings are fantastic, so I might have to try the Passione G and C some time, but I'm kind of hesitant/scared to give gut a try. While I think they sound fantastic, it is worth mentioning that they are less forgiving than the Larsens. I found that I made more squeaks and scratches than usual when I made the switch a couple weeks ago, but that has faded as I get used to them. They won't let you get away with sloppy shifts or bowing as much, and require more care and control, but there is no doubt in my mind that the resultant sound is entirely worth it.Another caveat, is that I've heard from others that Passiones tend to die pretty quickly, but when they sound this good, and cost significantly less than many other string varieties, I can definitely live with that.

Purchased a Passione set. All four strings have wonderful overtones and are easily expressive. However, my A string has a slight occasional buzz when played open and a harshness which does not blend with the other strings. Possibly a defective string. I have a Passione set on my violin which I love.

My cello's high notes were always squeaky and the highest notes were difficult to play. This string has a wonderful mello sound and is very smooth to play. It sounds like a whole new instrument now. I'm delighted. Also a helpful note: I bought this string for my 3/4 cello (I'm a smallish person) and cut two inches off and it works wonderfully.
