If your bird friend is particularly clever and naughty and occasionally removes the ladder, you can try using pliers to switch the position of the hook and Eye.
The hooks and eyes are swivel-mounted, so you can lock the ladder by rotating them at an angle.

Directions were lacking somewhat, but once you get it together it’s very nice. Seems sturdy enough since birds aren’t heavy weight animals. But mostly our birds are really enjoying it.

Two of the dowels were made incorrectly. I had to create new holes to made the design. Our bird loves the design and toys though! (we also added different perches as just providing one width is bad for their foot health).

My parrot likes it but some of the toys don't have hangers and 2 of the nuts pulled out of the wooden dowels so i will have to glue them but other than that it's good.

Advertised for large bird, I have an African Grey and really not for her. Dowels are not big enough around for her claws. Instructions are not good had to set it up by pictures. Good for smaller birds, not for my bird or larger. Would not buy again.

I love how tall it is and they toys it came with plus the food bowls. BUT, after a month it started to come apart mainly the higher part of it. I do wish the base part was bigger so his dropping can land inside and not on my floor.

You’ll need your own screws to build this for any strength integrity.. on top of drilling your own holes that should have been there, lol. This junk isn’t worth more than $20 tops.

The instructions were nearly impossible to follow because they were vague/poorly illustrated, none of the parts were labeled/all looked the same, and none of the holes were drilled correctly. I wanted to like this, but I couldn't even build it. Disappointing :(

When assembling, just be REALLY careful you have the right post. Many parts seem similar but if you are careful you will not have a problem. Just be observant, and pay attention. The instructions for assembly are in a video on the product Amazon sales site, and on a sheet of paper underneath the stainless steel tray.Assembled, my bird gym is GREAT!!!!! I LOOOOOVE it !!!!!! It isn't meant for birds bigger than Parakeets and Cockatiels. Any larger bird won't fit on the ladders or swings and may get tangled in the toys.Just be warned. If buying for birds who aren't used to this expansive play set, don't worry.... it will take your birds a few DAYS before they trust it, but don't worry... give them a week and they will begin to use it. Don't feel you wasted your money. Just give your birds time. Parakeets are VERY wary & cautious!!! It's a REALLY good bird gymnasium...!!!!

While my bird likes it, it was difficult to put together. It took two of us working for hours to finally get it right. It says it was good for a medium bird and I have a medium size bird, but it’s actually a little bit too small for his claws. It is relatively stable, but the ladders need a different way to be connected. He pulled them off the first time he got on it. That part is dangerous.
