I ordered this box primarily for the look over other plastic or metal boxes. Boy was that a mistake! The box assembled looks good but that is about it. The lid has a major design flaw, the struts attachment points to the box are located about 3 inches below the lid and push the lid 1/4 up once assembled. I tested this by moving the strut attachment point up closer to the lid (drill new holes) and this resolved the problem. This then leaves a manufacture hole that will need some silicone sealant to fix. Also, the new hole that will need to be created for strut attachment closer to the lid will no longer have a metal backing plate for stability, so you will need to add something there so the wood does not split.When the seller was notified of this issue, the offered a $20 refund. What a joke!

Excellent kit. Easy to assemble with clear instructions. I've had mixed results with deliveries not using it, but that's not a problem of this package drop box. We decided to purchase this after a porch pirate stole some cheap children's toys from our front door. It has capacity for multiple good sized packages. There weren't many reviews, but this stood out for build material quality and looks. I'm glad we went with this product. It is a really good size, and I'm happy with the quality. No exposed Phillips fasteners for the main box, each edge has a cover strip that uses Allen button head screws. The lid does come with small Phillips screws to hold to the hinge at the back, but i swapped these for some security torx head screws for piece of mind. Even without doing that this drop box accomplishes the goal just fine of keeping obvious packages out of sight, and prevents someone just kidding the lid and grabbing a package out of it with the simple shaped drop lid. We did add some easy to read white text to the lid, "lift to open". The cam lock is easy to replace with a keyed or digital combo lock of needed, I'm considering installing a combi-cam mini for easier use, but the provided lock doors the job just fine. I was also initially planning to paint this with the house colors, but I've decided against that. I like the look as-is and it stands out just enough from the house to be reasonably obvious to delivery people.

I love this parcel box! It was very complicated to put together, and I would not have been able to do it myself. But my husband read the directions and was able to put it together. Lots of parts and lots of pieces! It has a very strong scent to it but I don’t care because it’s going to be outside.
