I have used this style of bit before. I have a customer who needed this advertised profile to match existing cabinets. I spent all day setting up zero clearance jigs for these. I start production and the rails and stiles do not fit together. Initially I thought it was just the washer may have not been spaced correctly, and they weren’t.. so I adjusted the height using provided washers and some of my own, okay annoying but crisis averted, let’s try this again.. wrong again.. then I held the bits up to each other and sure enough they don’t mesh. One of the radii is different than the other radii so the fit will never be there even if you shim the height correct (which in my opinion you shouldn’t have to shim a brand new matched pair) I’ve had luck with other cheap amazon bits but these are trash. Well mostly trash, the giant bit for the raised panel is nice.. it doesn’t have to perfectly mesh with a counterpart such as how the rails and stiles must match. Maybe this was a fluke, idk. Now my project is delay because I need to order some nicer bits from a reputable brand.

I bought this router bit set in anticipation of a new project that I was working on which required constructing some custom cabinet doors. These did get the job done, however they struggled cutting cleanly into oak, even when doing smaller passes to work up to the full depth of the final cut. That being said, they did well on softer sample pieces, so if you are using something softer, you may have better luck.Since I hadn't used this type of bit before, I went with the cheap set, but since that time I have tried some of the nicer bits (Freud for example), and the different was night and day. With the cheap bits, you can make the cut, but you really have to be careful and willing to deal with imperfections, whereas with the higher quality bit, it pretty much just cuts through the wood like butter and you feel very little resistance. I plan to slowly integrate the nicer bits in the future project by project.

Overall ok product for the money, next up level competition costs 3x more. The tolerances are a little off. Otherwise it did the job. But I don't recommend to use it with solid red oak. It will burn the wood and the bit.

This set is a good set of bits for an occasional use. I would not buy this to try to do a full time job of doors but works for a set of doors for a kitchen. I used them on a bosh router and oak doors. It takes several small passes to get the door panels done. It might not be as slow if I was using a softer wood. It is a large bit so a slower router speed should be used when using them.
