I purchased this puller to perform a timing belt change on a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country with a 4.0L engine. I looked at all of the pullers Amazon offers and while this one was a little more expensive, I've used OEM tools brand a few times with no issues. This time was no exception. The fingers of the tool have removable pins that allow you to insert the "arms" in tight spaces and then reconnect them after the puller is in place. This feature was a necessity on the 4.0L engine. Once in place with the fingers in place, the harmonic balancer came off with no issues. I've been a technician for over 40 years and I can say that this puller appears to be high quality.

used it to pull the harmonic balancer on a GMC 3.0 V6 VVT engine, while it was in a 2012 gmc terrain.it took less then 5 min and i have no story to tell. it was easy and worked perfect.You have a gm 3.0 or 3.6 V6, you'll like this tool.

Recently I used this puller for a timing belt replacement on a Dodge 4.0 V6, fit the harmonic balancer perfectly.The tool looks to be made well, the "jaws" are held in place with removable pins, which were required to install on my particular job.Id recommend this for tighter balancer pulling jobs, you won't be disappointed

As the title said, I wanted to save like 25$ on a cheaper set. Don't get me wrong, it was a durable kit but the tolerances where so bad and the push rod got stuck in my 4.7L's crankshaft.I purchased this and in like 5 minutes it got it off, took a bit to grip my busted up balancer... The green enamel paint really makes it tougher than it needs to be. but I finally got it off.Pros:Its the right tool for my 4.7L chrysler powertechCons:The paint on the claws make it harder than it needs to be.Also if you use this, be sure to use some gear grease or something like that on both ends of the push rod. Will keep you from tearing up the rod.Just buy the right tool the first time. Dont go saving a dollar on a tool.

This puller is an excellent deal for the price. I was able to remove my harmonic balancer in less then 5 minutes. The best thing to do is to remove 2 of the arms (simply pull the pins and remove) and then put those 2 through the openings of the harmonic balancer and then reattach the arms to the puller. The harmonic balancer on my ‘07 Pacifica had notches on the back side of the harmonic balancer that fit the puller perfectly (see first pic). It’s almost like this puller was made exactly for this model. I hardly ever write product reviews, but this product certainly deserves one! I highly recommend it.

WHERE HAS THIS BEEN! I have been looking for a Harmonic Balancer puller for LS engines for years for a decent price. I NEVER new this existed until a recommendation of Amazon. I work with many Chevrolet's and a co-worker has a Mac Tools version as it's almost similar to this one except black that's really about it. I googled the price for the Mac Tools and comes up to $305 Cdn which is way too expensive. The reason this works for others trying to do a job that needs the Harmonic Balancer is it needs the longest rod in this set that connects to the screw that goes into the crank. On LS (4.2L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L) engines the crank is very deep and needs the longest rod. I have used the second longest and it doesn't have enough length to pull it off. The kit does Chevrolet which i mentioned and many Chrysler or Dodge vehicles most likely the 5.7L Hemi. The set is very very good for the price as $60 is really good quality. The set comes with the puller, screw, and rods. The only thing is you will need an installer as this is only the puller. The puller has locks into the jaws that lock it into place which has a ball bearing to keep it there. The only thing to note that the case is red in the picture and i received a green case with a green puller but makes to difference as it severs the function. It's nice to have a change of color which is easily visible. I am telling you now if you own a Chevrolet with an LS then this the absolute tool you need. I am blow away from how good this worked out and plus it never broke the bank buying it. I am beyond satisfied with the purchase.
