Eliminate Voltage Drop
These Smart Battery Isolators are designed specifically for use in multi-battery applications. The XSBi series of isolators primarily monitors the main starter battery voltage. Once the starter battery voltage reaches 13.2 volts, the solenoid automatically connects the auxiliary battery to the charging system. When the whole system drops below 12.7 volts, the solenoid opens and isolates the starter battery from the auxiliary battery. This ensures you should never have a drained starter battery again.
Lengthen the Life of Your Batteries
These smart battery Isolators also help lengthen the life of your starter battery. When two-vehicle batteries are wired in parallel they have a tendency to charge and drain one another. All relays disconnect the batteries when the engine is turned off. This prevents excessive wear and lengthens the life of the batteries. When you turn your engine back on, the batteries will be connected without any voltage drop to the second battery.
Upgrade Nearly Any Ride
This smart isolator is a must when adding a second battery to your vehicle. In your car, you might be looking to add a second battery when installing a competition-grade amplifier. High power output amplifiers require a lot of power from your charging system. Upgrading it with a second battery will be a necessary addition to your car. For UTVs and ATVs, their batteries are too small to power any additional accessories like stereos and speakers. Therefore, if you want to add those additional accessories you will need an additional battery as well. In both of these applications, this smart isolator would be perfect to monitor your batteries’ voltage.
Manual Override Switch Included
The NVX XSBi Series includes a manual override function that allows you to disconnect or link the two batteries with the push of a button. This is necessary for emergency situations like jump-starting your vehicle. In this case, you would want to use the override function to manually disconnect the batteries from one another so you could just power the main battery to start your vehicle.

This NVX XSBI80 Microprocessor-Controlled 80 Amp Dual Sensing Smart Relay Battery Isolator works great and it charges the secondary battery while keeping the primary battery fully charged. I'm very happy with it and highly recommend this product. I have read in other reviews that it overheats, but I have not found that to be the case in my installation. Perhaps some other folks did not install it properly.

I would have given this product a 5 plus star review however I am disappointed with the emergency switch they provide to connect the two batteries together for jump startIt’s extremely cheap and flimsyI really feel they should have spent an extra couple of dollars to make it much betterI would have gladly spent an extra $20 for a better switchOther than that the product appears to work as it shouldI’ll give a better update as time goes on

This is a great isolator. I used it briefly on my UTV until changing to Lifepo4 batteries. My lead acid crank battery had a dead cell and drained my auxiliary AGM after a day or so. I can say the emergency button does work, follow the directions.....I wish there was a model that isolates at higher voltages for lithium type batteries

Very simple and easy to install, great value, and works as described. Had to separate my main and amp battery. Great investment!! The clicking sound is something to get use to, I'd be worried if I don't hear it click.

The reverse battery jump feature has saved my bacon a couple times. Works as advertised. Use with my lifepo4 and a BMS. Charges my batteries while I drive. Worth EVERY penny!

500a "smart" isolator doesn't turn off, always stays latched connecting both batteries regardless of voltage, override switch does nothing, basically completely defective, so I tried to get a replacement sent out and return this one but the only option is to return this and get a refund, not acceptable. look for a better quality isolator, maybe I'll contact nvx directly... Should've went with blue sea, waste of time and money.
