High Quality Materials:
This durable high quality 430 stainless steel gatherer comes in 3 pieces for easy storage and a small wrench. The black and blue tube material is made from high strength aluminum / steel alloy with spray mould. It has a TPR handle with deep grooves to ensure slip resistance, even when handled with wet or slippery hands. The thermoplastic rubber handle is lightweight, moisture resistant and feels comfortable in your hand. The tube end material is made from polypropylene (PP).There is an anti-rust aluminum lever and a stainless steel gathering basket, which can change its shape as it is collecting nuts. The ball is made of 50 pieces of stainless steel wire, which has good elasticity and does not damage fruits and nuts.
Easy to Use:
To use your nut gatherer you simply roll over any surface with a back and forth motion. Repeat until the wire basket is full or the area with the objects to be picked up is cleared.
Retractable Handle:
To empty, use the retractable handle, which opens the steel wire head ball to easily pour out the items collected. The handle is on the black and blue pole that's made of high-strength aluminum\steel alloy which is very hard and not easy to deform and bend. The ball is made of 50pcs of stainless steel wire, which has good elasticity and does not damage fruit or nuts.
Multifunction:
This collector can be used to pick up: larger nuts (walnuts, chestnuts, hickory), fruits (apples, oranges, lemons and limes), small toys, balls (golf balls and tennis balls). It can pick up lots of items (1.5"- 2.5") quickly to help save time. Not meant to pick up small to medium nuts like some acorns and pecans.
Portable and Space Saving:
Your product can be separated into 3 pieces for easy storage and it comes with a small wrench.

My 80-year-old mother absolutely loved this! Got her through most of the summer, then it fell apart. Unfortunately, the return window is closed. I would say this is a one season and done item.

I was hurting my back picking up pine cones from the many Pine trees on my property. This item is amazing! Make sure to roll it while the pinecone is on it's side so as not to get it stuck in the roller tines.

I've used this device for approximately 10 hours over the last few days to pick up early drop applies in my small orchard. This does a fantastic job of collecting hard apples off the ground. I also like the easy empty mechanism, very clever with no additional accessories needed. There are a few caveats that are not surprising, but a user should be aware of:* Not as effective at gathering apples that are laying in tall grass. On occasion, several back and forth motions will eventually collect an apple in tall (6"+) grass, but often times the apple is too embedded.* This device is very effective at collecting apples that are "hard". You should not attempt to collect rotten or soft apples with this.Overall, I highly recommend this product.*Update*After about 20 hours of use, the metal shaft bent. I attribute this to fatigue in the metal, as every empty of the basket requires lightly shaking the device to get the fruit to fall out. After doing this hundreds of times, the hollow metal shaft gave way.

Not sure what the black small piece on the handle is. Looks similar to an Allen wrench attached to handle near basket. What is it? The hanger on the end of the pole is a satin ribbon. Other models I have purchased are a metal loop. (weasel brand) Handle will come apart which is why I purchased it.

I really wanted this to work. I tried everything I could to see if it was my error or if this was just a terribly made product. It would pick up a few acorns then dump them right back on the ground. I made sure I wasn't pressing too hard on the ground inadvertently dumping the acorns. It definitely was not my error in using it.The handle to dump the acorns made it hard to empty and got stuck in the wiring more than once. For almost a 70.00 item, the quality was so bad. Looks like I'll be sticking to raking up the acorns again this year. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
