I bought this to make snowcones for the children in my school. I was a little concerned about How fast it would work and how Much ice it would shave in a short time. Surprisingly, it was very efficient And we were able to make more than 30 snow cones in a short time.I would just recommend that be Mindful of a small circular disc that locks the blades in place. It’s really small, like the Size of a quarter and can get lost if you pull out the ice bowl.The item is very safe, Looks nice and makes very little noise. Simple to assemble.Definitely recommend buying it

First off, I've gotta say that I love this product. It was loud, but not so loud that it woke my 2 year old up from his nap. It looks cute and made beautiful snow fairly quickly.Just a couple of cons that are more personal preference than actual cons..1. The machine starts shaving the ice when you twist the top into its lock position. There are no buttons or switches, it just automatically starts crushing. I'd prefer it if there were a switch to turn it on once the lid was in position because my kids always want to help, and they can't put the lid on themselves.2. The chamber to put ice in can only hold about a cup of ice at a time once the lid is on, but the chamber for snow can hold quite a bit more shaved ice than that. This means that I have to keep opening the lid, adding ice, and closing the lid to make more than one snow cone. It's not difficult, just a bit annoying.3. The door that opens for you to scoop the ice shaving from the chamber isn't very big. It's fine for putting the scoop straight in and pulling it straight out, but it makes it a little tricky to get the ice out of the corners and in front of the ledge just below the door because to do this, you need to turn the scoop sideways and it's tight quarters.All in all these are really picky complaints. Welove the snow cone machine and are happy we purchased it.

This machine is great overall! Makes a lot of ice/snow in a short time. Sure, it's a little noisy, but that's to be expected. And it isn't on for long, really! Cute little door on the side, ice keeps surprisingly well inside, so kids can come back and help themselves to a refill. Fun for parties or whenever. Kids love it! I love it.

item works great as advertised. I think it's over-sized, it takes too much space considering I don't shave that much ice. plastic case is weak, most parts are plastic. I should have bought the metal ice shaver which is smaller in size and more durable. because the clear case has s small door and can't be removed, it's very hard to clean it or dry it off after each use. if I purchased a smaller unit that doesn't come with a case, it would be easier to clean and easier to use. I could hardly fit my small hands inside the door to retrieve the ice, so if you have bigger hands you may struggle a little bit to remove the ice. I have an ice maker which produces smaller cubes of ice,and it works fine using smaller cubes. I have not tried the unit on larger cubes. The ice shaving is fine, and not coarse as shown in the picture of the product. I don't think you can use over sized ice cubes or pucks. I have seen other smaller units on amazon that allows you to use larger pucks of ice, where you can freeze water in a bowl and use one large piece of ice however you can't do that with this units. I would definitely not purchase again, and I would purchase a smaller unit, that would allow me to use larger ice pucks, so I just have to wait until it breaks so I can buy a different ice shaver
