I've been looking for a futon for our office for months now , and I was getting frustrated w/the furniture stores. They wanted almost the price of the futon to deliver it and put it together and were waaay over priced. I found this one on Amazon at a great price and free delivery, so I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did!The futon was easy to put together. I am a 50yr woman and had no problems. It wasn't until I had to put the pieces together that I needed my husband to help me lift one frame onto the other. The mattress came a few days before the frame, but I was already prepared for that thanks to other reviews. It was also delivered a month earlier than scheduled, so that was a nice surprise. We got the queen futon to put in a spare office for when guests visit. Since it is an over-sized mattress, it kinda looks funny or lopsided when in the couch position (the back is much larger than the seat). We left the mattress in the bed position for a few days to let it spring up (and air out), so it was kinda difficult to get it back into the couch position afterwards. I gave it four stars because there aren't any clear instructions on how to shift the bed from sitting to laying down, and we almost broke it trying to figure it out (we've never owned a futon before). We finally discovered you have to take it out of the locked position first and then slowly slide it up or down (duh!). After discovering that little nugget, I can now put it up or down on my own.Overall I think it will work for our 3-4 guests visits per year. I will try to provide an update after someone has actually slept on it. But at this point it was well worth the effort, the price and the wait!

Wow! This is beautiful! I wanted to get rid the twin bed in my sewing room/guest room. I saw this and thought this would be great to sit at watch the tv in my room. It is sooooo pretty. My grand daughter can’t wait to come over and try out the bed function.It does take some time to assemble. I have back issues so I had to do little at a time. You will need two people to lift the frame into the arm rail slots. Very very very pleased! This does arrive in several shipments. I received my cushion about a week ago. Then the drawers and arm rails arrived 2 days ago. I thought they forgot to ship the frame parts so I contacted the seller and they let me know the shipments sometimes get separated shen shopped. Sure enough, the frame arrived last night. It is a little pricey but this is was just the right size and had everything I wanted and isn’t cheap looking.

Avoid!!Two of the support beams cracked after we lightly used it a few times. Despite the “5 year warranty,” the company would not let us return it after five months because it had been more than 30 days. Although the mattress is comfortable, it wreaks of chemicals (the smell has not gone away, even after airing it out for a few months!!) It is also not really a mattress - it seems more like sawdust type material with a cover over it (kind of like a firm bean bag chair in mattress shape). Unfortunately, this will be going in the trash. I will not even donate it because the unstable frame and chemical smell do not seem safe for anyone.

I love it. It’s sturdy and aesthetic to the eye. It doubles as my daughters in-room couch and sleep-over bed. She now prefers it over her own twin bed with standard mattress. I’m laying on it while writing review. I will be getting another for my sons room.

Futon assembled easily, after reading other reviews I used a wax melt to lubricate the recline groove and it moves easily. The drawers are a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. The back is only 2" deep so you can't store anything in them. A TOTAL RIP OFF!

Frame is well designed and sturdy. Cushion/mattress is pretty comfortable although the construction (tailoring?) could be improved.There was some confusion resulting from the order being marked as "delivered" while we were still waiting on the mattress. The frame comes in two packages and the mattress comes in a third package which arrives about a week later. The issue would have been avoided if it's made clear that there are 3 separate packages and the status does not show "delivered" until all three arrive.

This is just what we hoped it would be. We live in an older house with small rooms, and my son wanted more free space in his bedroom. It looks great and seems well-made. We were worried that part of our shipment had gone missing for a couple of days, so be aware that the mattress is made to order and ships separately. Do yourself a big favor and have your handyman assemble it, since the instructions are pretty confusing. Trust me, I've built a lot of furniture... Hire someone.

Very nice quality. Perfect in our 2nd guest/playroom. Assembly was fairly straight forward but does require two people.Do wish that there had been option to purchase the pillows (as shown in photo).
