Fits perfectly!Bumps the EOS RP's battery shutter count from a miserable 250 to 500.Keep in mind that the RP was never designed by Canon to accommodate a battery grip, so there are two small inconveniences: 1/ The camera's SD card holder is located in the battery compartment, so you must remove the grip to access the memory card each time. 2/Once again, the RP was not designed for a battery grip, so you must connect a small cord (about 3 inches) from the grip to the cameras remote port in order to use the grip's vertical shutter button.Despite those two minor inconveniences, this grip is still well worth it and I highly recommend it. It gives the undersized RP body a more robust feel, like a real DSLR.

This is a good buy, especially for the price and limited availability of battery grips for the EOR RP, which is infamous for its low battery life. It feels and looks great and it allows for good balancing especially at lower shutter speeds, which was more difficult without the grip. Would it be even better if you didn’t have to use the included cable for portrait orientation? Of course, but it’s a very small inconvenience that I will gladly accept.

The fit and finish is nice. Seeing as the RP is a battery hog, its nice to have the extra milliamps loaded with the second battery. The battery release is very rigid and takes some getting used to when you remove the batteries. I also bought 2 more batteries and a double battery charger so I have a total of four batteries to switch out.

This is a great buy for the money. I was concerned it wouldn't match the looks of the RP. I was relieved when pairing them together they mix very well. We all know by now that the batteries are small and dont have the greatest life span, so having two loaded in helps greatly. I know many people complain about how small the RP is, but honestly I wear a medium size glove to it's not that bad but the grip definitely gives you more real estate to hold on to. It feels premium and good in your hand. If you have a larger hand, then this should definitely be on your list of things to get for you camera.Yes, there is that wire but unfortunately that's something that all grips for the RP has, I'm not sure why but obviously how the camera is designed makes this a requirement so I can't hold it against the makers. They all have this wire. Mind you that it's only to use the "vertical" button. If you're not using it, you dont need the wire.Issue 2 I suppose and it's not an issue is the battery door and SD card slot are joined so you will need to remove the grip to access the card, again it's the design of the camera and no fault of the grip maker. Finally I'll touch on customer service. I was contacted a couple of days after receiving the grip from the makers asking if the shipment was ok and if I had any issues which I appreciate greatly. I told them that I had received the product without issue and on time.

I took it off my camera because it eats batteries while just sitting! It “looks” good, but not working out. Wasted $60Edit: I bought different batteries (not Canon - too expensive) and it works fine now. I love that the battery door stores in the grip. The look and feel of this grip = excellent. Total revision of my first review!

Not photographer friendly. First off, it’s very hard to remove batteries from device. And to take out your advice card you have to remove the entire piece and then you have to remove the batteries before you can reinsert it.

POSITIVES1. It works. Take off the battery door, insert simulated battery into grip slot, and tighten. Insert two batteries (you have press firmly) and turn on camera as usual. Perfect.2. It has a working shutter button, as long as you connect the included shutter cable. This allows you to shoot more comfortably in the portrait orientation.3. Improves the overall feel and handlability of the camera. We know the RP is too small for most hands.Negatives1. Requires the shutter cable attached externally. No big deal.I'm so glad that I got mine before Amazon sold out.
